I watch baseball, more specifically post season condensed games. Best thing since sliced bread. One of the most popular players right now is Shohei Ohtani, a two-way player, ace pitcher and home run hitter. That hasn't happened since Babe Ruth and of course the level of play today is far, far higher. Yeah, I'm still a big baseball fan - only sport for me, in fact. Also a Yankee fan, so when he wanted a current player to use for a blistering fastball, I thought of Aroldis Chapman. *He did, in fact, use the night theme for this troll! In fact, here's what actually happened:* The whole level is full of semisolids that cover the whole background. Therefore, it's almost impossible to tell wether the level is in night theme or not without looking at Mario's jumps. Plus, this level has a night-themed subworld, while the main world is day-themed. Therefore, Mario alternates between normal gravity and low gravity whenever he goes through a pipe. However, we can't tell this from the background, because the background is all covered in semisolids! This makes for really good troll levels! I also remember seeing two troll levels with similar scenarios: one was a SMB1 castle troll level, and the other one was a SMW underground troll level. In both cases, the main world was day-themed, while the subworld was night-themed. And since the background was covered by semisolids in both cases, the night effect appearing out of nowhere was a big surprise! In that case, in the SMB1 castle level, Mario had normal physics until he went down a pipe - then he started swimming out of nowhere! In the SMW underground level, everything looked perfectly fine until Mario went down a pipe with a P-balloon - then the screen randomly flipped upside-down! Man, these trolls are always amazing!

I actually had to watch it back a few times to understand what was happening, because it certainly appeared to be CP1. But it simply couldn't have been, if only because there was low grav, then he was pushed off-screen and killed - never going through a pipe to the sub-world - then when he started from the checkpoint again there *wasn't* low grav. Assuming no glitch was involved to make that happen, he couldn't have gotten a checkpoint while pushed off-screen and killed. So it was still CP2, just scrolled to the left because of the gray blocks, and on a launcher instead of the yellow blocks due to shenanigans involving the yellow blocks being destroyed already the first time he reached CP2. This whole thing was just on another level, wow.

The plural of octopus is indeed octopi. And how could you not like Bon Jovi or Aerosmith?! Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet is one of the best albums ever recorded. And while Aerosmith might not have released anything good since "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" in December 1998, so much of their stuff before that was absolutely amazing! "Dream On," "Toys in the Attic," "Walk This Way," "Angel" (my favorite song by them), at least half the tracks from the album Pump, and so many others! They even have a really good cover of The Beatles' "Come Together." If you ever come to Oklahoma, I'll have to walk you through a deep dive of Aerosmith from 1973-1998. There is a reason they used to be on my list of favorite groups of all time (the only reason they aren't any more is because they haven't released anything good since 1998, but that doesn't change how great their stuff was before that!).
