But I still think it's really dumb, the guy can just play the level after Dave moves on, or he can actually enjoy the stream instead of trying to get spotlight. Looking back at it, he has the 1 year sub badge, so I don't think he had bad intent, and might be older.

I don't think he enjoys them because of WR snipers coming in and sniping him. I bet if he were to block the level id until after he clears it that would make him want to do more of these. It's a bit tech demanding but he could overlay a blurring filter box on OBS where the id would be upon the level select and on the pause screen.

Going for WRs can be a major grind and Dave isn’t the strongest in speed run strats, which makes content like this difficult especially if everyone is consistently optimizing their WRs from sniping one another. At one point, unless you’re PePanga or LilKirbs, it’s just too difficult to get WRs from top streamers. Dave probably waits a while so they can build up some unoptimized WRs from their No Skip Runs and such.
