I know this is Rats Smp, but like... Lore idea (for empires): Since Empires S1 was centered around Xornoth, aka the demon, Season 2 could revolve around their demons. Each Empire member would have an internal demon that feasts on their insecurities and fears. For example, False's demon would be centered around her fear of not fitting in, being the new one to the group, Pix’s demon would revolve around his being less included in lore and general interactions except for business trades and feeling forgotten, Jimmy's demon would be centered around his feeling like he is never taken seriously and always being made fun of, etc. The demon would encourage the rulers to overcome this, in a horrible way, such as stealing; killing; destroying; etc. This could lead to full on wars, with alliances and such, which would be interesting to see as they would be fighting two battles at once: the one in the server, and their own internal one. Conflict would be deeper and have more lasting impacts, making the lore a lot more personal. It would be fun to see the character development all through the series as there would be no main character, like Scott was in Season 1, and main villain, like Xornoth was. Instead of black and white or good and bad, it would be gray, and each ruler would have both right and wrong on their side. Different rulers would be more overcome by these demons, leading to varying levels of right/wrong. For example, rulers like Joey tend to be very sudden and have stronger emotions, and the demon would have an easier time corrupting him. On the other hand, rulers like Katherine would be more rational and cautious, leading to less corruption. Different situations as well, such as during wars or times of crisis, would lead to the demons having greater control over their ruler. The best way to fight the demon would be to let go of your frustrations, leading to gradually getting rid of the hold that the demon has over you. Once this bond is broken, the ruler would go back to their own self, but would still have to work to prevent the demon coming back. This would also tie into existing lore. For example, Lizzie being a cat would make her less susceptible to the demon, as animals tend to have fewer complex emotions and the demon would find it harder to take control. However, acts of violence will create more for the demon to feed on. The demon would encourage the worst inside of the rulers, bringing out their worst qualities and making hatred grow inside of them. The only way to get rid of the seeds of evil after they have bloomed is to take them out by the roots. Facing these negative emotions, facing your fears and your imperfections, and accepting them as part of you, is the only way to defeat the demons entirely. Seeing the struggle to overcome the demon would be a fantastic way to see both sides of a character and again, not have a singular main character standing out, as each person must fight their own battles instead of fighting each other's. (This is just an idea and not meant to be taken seriously :D)

Cool idea in theory but I feel like it would hit too close for too many people so once this arc started all the empires members would have to start putting content warnings onto their empires videos Also I'm pretty sure at this point in the season they already have most, if not all, their arcs and story connections loosely mapped out enough for there to be lore wiggle room in canon but unscripted interactions so they probably have an antagonist in mind already
