I stayed at the camp ground in 2014. €3 to pitch a tent, €3 for a 6 pack of beer at the supermarket and a stroll between Baleal and Supers. Had a sick month!!

Just got back from a trip to Peniche after watching this video. Very little swell but made the best of it. Locals were horrendous, deffo killed the vibe but other than that, great food and cheap beer

I know I`m a bit late to the party but....mate how the freaking hell did you managed having a session at beautiful supertubos with seemingly no one out? I lived 2 years in Peniche whilst working as a Surfinstructor almost 15 years ago and I never ever saw that happen! However, I really like your spot documentation around the globe! Hahha yeah that's a good question ahhah! The chart for the week was pretty small and definetly not a proper Supertubes day, but there were just these little wedges everywhere! I just went down there every morning for first light and usually got an hour or so with no one!! Cant wait to share more :)

We payed a little more than 100 per flight without luggage for Oktober But I remember it was. 40-60 Euros a few years Ago. But direct flights are definitely more expensive

Hey Dan, Thanks you for the video. I saw your one on Ericeria. Is the town big enough to keep my family happy while I get a session in? Ericeria seems like it may be too big in October for my level. I like that this place has sheltered options if the swell is up too much for me.

Hey Michael! Yes for sure! Ericeira is a pretty big town and there are heaps of beaches and places to hang out in town. Loads of restaurants, cafes and bars too! And yes, in town there are a few sheltered spots. Furnas, by the harbour was the most protected I saw with people surfing.

Hi mate! For this trip, I flew with TAP Portugal. I think it cost around €50 for boards... Don't quote me on that though!

Hey man. Appreciate the insightful videos you post. Planning on a trip to ericiera and peniche late april into may. Do you know what the conditions will be like around that time ? Not to bothered on surfing 8ft plus waves more looking to surf fun beachies and then head down the coast when a swell arrives to surf the point breaks ect. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Hey mate! Glad you found it helpful :) Yeah late April/May will definitely have waves, you wont have a problem with swell!! So it would be more a case of timing where you go with the good winds and swell size!!

Hey mate!! Yeah, I never pay for the insurance before hand. I just do it at the counter, and on super tight budget trips, I haven't even used it, but I don't suggest doing this hahaha!! But yes, usually you need a credit card (in your own name) to take the car out :))

Hey mate! Yeah i mean I've never been there in summer! But iI think theres' always something to surf, so check the chart and make the call I reckon :))

waves aren't as big but you'll get the north coast mentioned in the video with ideal conditions. when its too big in Peniche you dont bother checking north as its too much size. In the summer you always find north really good and usually Baleal and the whole bay

Hey Asi! I'm not sure of the exact cost! But you can rent them on the beach at Baleal. I can't image it'd be more than $30 for a day!!

Well, Peniche is well known for its extreme localism, but people shouldn't be allowed to claim they own waves - so go there ignore them and have fun!

Hey mate!! Stoked you found it helpful! And yes, if you're camping in a car/van, there's a free camping carpark in the middle of town, just search camping Peniche on Google Maps and there's a large square car park that always has heaps of RVs in it. Its free and allowed!!
