Great to see you guys back together on the Sunday Morning Show, Enjoyed my coffee while having a good listen. I am one of the 20,000 or so Subscribers that unsubbed to Ricks Channel, I had been with his channel for years ( since he was around 150K subscribers) I have always had a problem with LIV's business backers ( Not the golfers as much) and the way they were using sports as a way to try and clean their image globally. I don't begrudge Rick or anyone going for money to support their families or lifestyles but I have chosen not to watch LIV tournaments or Subscribe to LIV golfers channels in the past. I have watched the other KZbinrs channels that have LIV golfers on as guests and have enjoyed the entertaining golf. It's a difficult muddled line that's in my head about where to actually draw the line but I go with my gut instinct and being a personal decision it's mine to make and no one else's. I have always enjoyed Dans channel and love the banter with all the people on it, It's a down to Earth atmosphere and I hope it never changes.

Fascinating discussion. Can't say that I've any interest in LIV, just don't like the format. But you can't knock Rick Shiels, he's a master at what he does and LIV has seen the attraction of that. Quite astute on their part. For the life of me, I cannot see why you don't have more subscribers. The vlog this week with Paul and Lester was excellent.

Aaah, Sunday mornings 😊 I think Rick has made a good move and his future content will be incredible. There are haters, but he won’t lose sleep over them. It is the right choice for him and his family and he deserves the success. I love the direction KZbin golf is going and the success of creators can only be good for the game. TGL isn’t for everybody, but it does no harm. I’ve watched a couple (next day highlights) and enjoyed them. The last one with Tiger and Rory was a very good watch.

G’Day Dan & Bernie, Sunday Morning Show is back ! nothing like watching you guys sort out the golfing worlds issues. In saying that, I disagree with your RS going to LIV synopsis, RS I think, was acutely aware his style of content had run its course ( you can only show how to swing a club so many ways before the viewers get bored ) some of his best vids were course vlogs. Everything else became click bait ( what happens when I hit a ???? with my new xyz 321 driver ). RS channel has become a corporatised PR channel and his Saudi backers know it. Keep up the good work on the channel, make good content and the sub’s / viewers will follow. All Good Fellas.

Great to see you two back on the Sunday Morning Show. I definitely watch more you tube golf than tour golf. It’s more relatable in the likes of Liam and Golfmates and the likes of yourself with the chat and laugh you have together. I must admit never been massive fan of Rick Shiels enjoyed early stuff when he hand average player testing clubs but think he thinks to much of himself and the sort of vault face for cash from him meant I unfollowed. Keep the content coming

There was a product from well over 25 years ago called the Swing Jacket. Peter Jacobsen was a spokesperson for it at one point. Basically two Velcro arm cuffs that were supposed to slide across your chest on two plastic rails. The key word there is “supposed.” The arm cuffs always seemed to “hang up” on the rails and didn’t quite slide along on them. I think mine is still in the garage somewhere.

The exclusivity of some sports commercial contracts makes it difficult for tours to permit filming exposure to others irrespective of how small that might be in relative terms. As you say change will come.

I’m pretty sure Rick said he was invited to CC but couldn’t make it. I’m not a massive fan of LIV but I think having access to the players will be amazing. Viewing figures will almost certainly outweighs the actual tour events.

Rick has done it all on KZbin, I doubt he will be too concerned about losing a few thousand or hundred thousand viewers. His LIV venture is something completely new for him, succeed or fail he won't be out of pocket. Regarding filming with the tours, they must recognise that KZbin is a big threat to their established viewer base and they have to think very carefully about how they approach it. Is allowing channels to film at their events the best way forward for them? Who knows, but I'm sure that they're considering this and many other options, but in the meantime they will be very cagey with regard to sharing their product with KZbinrs, however big they are.

Back to the old format for the Sunday morning show is a win 👍 I think the LIV move for Rick is a good decision, as a fellow 40+ dancer I find 90% of my viewing time is KZbin golf content and LIV, I now find watching the PGAt and DP a boar fest, the quality of the golf is fantastic but I don't have the time to watch rounds and the commentary is just poor, the other 10% of my viewing is the majors on TV, I defiantly believe the younger generation watch more YT, LIV & TGL over watching rounds on the PGAt & DP.

Dan, I've followed DHG for years now. I can't follow Rick anymore. Vlogs are cinematic, I like Rick, but the golf sucks unless has James Robinson (former tour pro) on. Keep doing what you're doing because you're followers are faithful and you're putting out good content. Plus you & your bro put out some good golf @ some beautiful courses. Weather sucks sometimes, so come out here to San Clemente, Ca. 🤙

Big fan of this format guys, glad you brought it back! Have been watching the TGL highlights and agree, the concept is great but the lack of atmosphere is going to kill it. I would want to see more challenges, rather than a straightforward 18 hole shoot out! Re; Rick Shiels, it shouldn't come as any surprise, in fact surprised it's taken this long - RS signed with Performance54 back in 2016 .. Performance 54 were instrumental in launching LIV so that connection has been there since day 1.
