Yes, you're right, CoF is not Black Metal. They are not Satanic, and even Filth himself dislikes it when the band is labeled as a Black Metal band. In an October 2006 interview, Filth said, "we'd rather be known as solely 'Cradle of Filth', I think, than be hampered by stupid genre barriers." They are Iron Maiden influenced audibly, and all all the band members dislike being labeled as a Black Metal band. Goths are fascinated dark myths while emos are cutthroat and suicidal. Obvious difference

@AlyxAsphyxia dani filth was using that name before 'scene' even came about, since 1991 or so. andrew dennis biersack uses something called 'autotune'. I used to like black fail brides, before I realized how crap and generic and EMO they are. Also, how can Cradle of Filth's 'era' be done, when they still have legions of fans, and are still producing albums? what about iron maiden, are they 'has beens'? what about slayer or anthrax?

Dani is clearly referring to the commercialised shit of the mid-00s, and clearly everyone here is too. If anyone would bother to look into the history of emo even briefly they would find it was born out of hardcore punk in the mid-80s and remained very much independent throughout the 80s and 90s, and was way rawer than Hawthorne Heights-type shit. Original screamo especially was incredibly chaotic & dissonant (Orchid, Jeromes Dream, etc). PS. I love CoF, but I bet their wardrobe is quite costly.

@Videofool12 ALL bands use autotune when recording. EVERY single musician, or band. EVERYONE uses it. And i've seen black veil brides live, they play just as good as on their albums. Andy has a naturally good voice. There is absolutley nothing wrong with a little help. And unlike dani filth, andy is a nice guy, as is all of black veil brides, they actually write music for their fans, not money, not fame. and scene has been around since the 80's do a little research.

Meh, I listened to a bunch of his band's songs and its pretty much all trash. Its all the same shit that 1000 other metal bands release every year with the same guitar tones and played out metal solo's and horribly written drums, with some mediocre symphony track in the background accompanied by a less than average female singer.
