In America on perfectly groomed tracks it’d be close In the rest of the world? Deegan would take a while to be up there. Which is not a slam on the lad, it’s just different, never mind the tracks, the field is much deeper too Also gotta learn to travel and logistics, which won’t me as much of a problem for him than most with the fortunate situation he is in

Oh and American tracks don’t really get that rough in comparison, I’ve ridden them, I’ve literally ridden rougher in the last month, in a normal practice day, ungroomed for weeks in sand Of course he’s fast, but the fastest? I’d love to see a showdown on a vast selection of tracks. And love it if he was the best, a fan of the sport and have been to 9 ama NATIONAL races and countless WORLD championship races Now who knows what they are talking about? 100% agree they have chopped down the number of whoops to keep the racing closer and to handicap Jett. We saw them modify A1 last year to take away the 5 into the turn at the end of a rhythm lane that only Jett was doing. If there had been real whoops last season Jett probably wins 3 more races.

I am totally against only 1 national 250 sx championship, but keeping the East and West for 5 or 6 races each, I am all for it, the calendar would be even more exciting than it is now. Great idea.

I think he’s thinking of it as, if I win the East title everyone will say it’s because he “dodged” Deegan. If he goes west and wins, he will be the hero. So it’s a high risk- high reward scenario instead of looking like he chickened out and went East

West v east is dumb. We want to see the best 250 riders go up against each other. We should see Deegan and Vialle rematch with the rest trying to beat these guys. But we have east v west for what? It’s a professional sport
