You mean the Fresno Hotel Saloon at 1232 Grant Avenue and Fresno Alley? It has oldest continuous liquor license in San Francisco. Since 1865.

@@SpotlightOn999, While commonly known as "The Saloon", it actually it is the Fresno Hotel Saloon [1232 Grant Avenue at Fresno Alley) even though the "Cribs" upstairs are closed to the [paying] public and have been for a long, long time. Myron Mu's parents own the building and now, since Tommy Brownie passed, Myron runs it. It's the longest continuous liquor license [1865] in San Francisco. Although I never set foot in it until 1969 when I came up from LA to join a band and ran into Lisa Kindred again whom I married a year later. Yes, we played there a lot including with John Yu and I've been told many stories about the place by people who should (or should have, depending on if they're still alive or not) know(n). I wasn't "Blaming" Daniel, I just know "It Rolls Downhill". He's a great player. Unfortunately our paths never crossed, so we've never met, let alone played together. That building and that neighborhood hold many, many memories. Most of them warm and wonderful.

Just search for Daniel Castro on KZbin. He told me he hadn't gigged much since March 2020, but there's older videos at The Saloon in San Francisco and Poor House Bistro in San Jose. I also filmed him at some Johnny Nitro tributes but that videocamera had poor audio. You can also see my video of him with The Guitarsonists in 2018 at my fire benefit for Lake County.

Sorry! This was not a professional video, I am just a hobbyist who was filming a friend. So I didn't know how to improve on the audio from the built in mic on my old video camera. Danny does play pretty loud and I was standing really close to the monitors and speakers.

Good Lord, Daniel, Can't you synch this video up? I mean the audio's great, but it's not synched up. I'm trying to introduce my late wife, Lisa Kindred's daughter (who was born when she, Lisa, was 16 and adopted out) to some of the musicians we used to play with. John was one of the best. (Unfortunately, she, Judy, didn't find out where Lisa was until just after she died. Let John know, if you can,. FaceTube doesn't like me anymore.) Great! Music & it's Synched Up on the last tune - and the encore. Way to go, "Cowboy!". Seriously, you're a very good player.

I filmed that, Daniel did not. I was still learning how to edit, and am not a pro or even a musician. Please do not hold Danny accountable... and, you would have to contact him directly to reach him as I kinda doubt he looks at all the videos others take of him.

@@SpotlightOn999, I replied to you on both the first and second "Watchtower" vids, but, as the old musician saying goes, "Practice". [As I see, further on, you did. "Good on ya', Mate" as our Aussie friends say.] Look, there's always lots of things "Out There" we wish were not. [I can think of an impromptu live outdoors TV thing on Fillmore with Billy Roberts when we performed a song he'd just written and we performed w/o any practice whatsoever.] I love music. I just hate what "The Business" does to people - especially players. There's a line in an early Merle Haggard song that goes, " ... but my weakness is stronger than I am ... ." After one too many "Fallings Over" [Tim Hardin] I walked away.
