I completely agree - when I was short in the mid-1950s my father was a new graduate from a Christian seminary and wanted to be a US Navy chaplain (which in retrospect I never understood - my mother's grandfather had been a Royal Navy officer but no one in my father's family had at that time pursued a military career - 3 of my father's nephews eventually joined the USAF) but the ranks had been filled during the Korean War (when he was in seminary). My point is that I never have understood why in the context of the crisis of 7 Oct 2023 why there never has been Haradim subject to the draft. I remember the day in my early teens when my father got his 5-E draft notice (which came shortly after his 35th birthday and said he was exempt from the draft except in wartime) and his explanation to me of what it meant. And that it was possible I myself might be drafted some day.

In my opinion setting up Israeli settlements in Gaza could only be an obstacle to creating a peaceful situation in the future. Gazans need somewhere to live and Gaza is already densely populated. It could be possible for Gaza to develop as a demilitarised city state without posing a threat to Israel. It might be difficult to achieve that but it’s not impossible. The question of the West Bank is more complicated because there are basic geographical reasons why ceding control of the land to forces hostile to Israel is an existential threat to Israel. I wish there was a vision as to how to achieve security and true citizenship rights for both Israelis and the Palestinian people of the West Bank.
@sandytatham35925 күн бұрын
You seem like a thoughtful person so please check out the proposal for #OneJewishState by former US Ambassador David Friedman. Israel extends sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, and eventually Gaza, and offers the Arab occupants "permanent residence status". That would give them _equal_ civil rights (security, education, health, employment opportunities, local government voting, etc.), a global travel document, and relative autonomy in their Arab cities and villages. A pathway to full citizenship would come after a qualifying period (as is the case in all developed countries) and when they can pledge allegiance to the *Jewish* state of Israel. All Arabs who decline this offer or who continue with violent 'resistance' would be assisted to resettle in a more suitable country by UNHCR. This would initially be an expensive project to implement, and UNRWA schools would be banned, but over time the residents would become the same as the two million Israeli Arabs who live as equal citizens today. I'd love to know what you think. I want a better future for the Arab children who are being indoctrinated with hate, and kept as 'perpetual refugees' to serve the purpose of putting maximum pressure on Israel.

Israel is simply defending itself against people who continually try to annihilate them.

He's right about ISRAEL being a JEWISH state, just like America is a CHRISTIAN state. ALL religions should have a STATE! We ALL love states all over the globe! I also love FRANCE, a Catholic state, and INDIA, a Hindu state. The more states, the merrier!

America is, by its constitution and by its population, most certainly not a Christian state. if you don't like that feel free to move to Vatican city

All citizens should be equal BUT this is a Jewish state …. Really ? Hard to combine you say? I reckon impossible.

The USA is a Christian state and in theory all citizens are equal. It's not so far-fetched. At least in theory.

it intrigues me that they don't see genocide as the greatest failure!! These jews believe that they lost Jerusalem because God punished them for their crimes!! If so, I would be concerned that God will punish them for committing genocide!😢😢
@CapeCodSully7 күн бұрын
You don't know what genocide is. The population of Gaza has actually increased during this war. The birth rate has outpaced the death count of the war. Also governments committing genocide don't supply their victims with food, water, and medical care on a daily basis, which is exactly what Israel does in Gaza.
@raheelkhan15867 күн бұрын
@@CapeCodSullyif you are linking genocide to net population decrease, you are legally illiterate. I do not mean that as an insult. The Genocide Convention (It’s only 9 paragraphs think) is not related to a rate of death, nor quantum of death nor a net decrease in population. You are simply absorbing bad information (deliberate I might add) from people who are relying on you being a sheep. It seems you are a sheep, as you are quoting this incorrect and legally illiterate logic. Just to let you know, the Bosnian genocide was ruled a genocide, and that was 8,300 deaths. You are embarrassing yourself, you can and should do better.

I think the Democracy is not real freedom. If we have been Created equal, why needs to be favor in the mano? So it is a distinction. What the Torah in B’midbar 15:16 One Law for the natural and the Foreigner. How much wisdom Is it It? Are we playing be smarter than our. Creator? It does not work! You don’t see it! See an example the Trafic driver Law. For difents People Nacionalities should apply? I do not think so! Religions? How’d/Elohim is not a Religion, He gave us Instructions. And we will live our own consequences. Our Lord/Elohim/YAH call us to be distinctive, because He is distinctive amount the pagans.
God I find myself actively disliking this man. My kind of Jew not allowed in his Israel. Arrogant, arrogant, arrogant.

There are MANY good Jews out there: Noam Chomsky, Norman Finkelstein, Ilan Pappe, Gideon Levy, Bernie Sanders, Amy Goodman, Jeffrey Sachs, et al. Americans of all stripes simply LOVE THESE JEWS. The others are a bit more difficult to admire--except for Gershwin and Sondheim, et al.
