Thank goodness for the dance scene...because Chozen was going HEAVY on the remorse (over his past deeds) to the point where I was tearing up for the dude. And thank goodness for Cousin Louie for what came next after the dance scene. I was close to turning 18 when this song came out back in the early Summer of 1985.

This is by far one of the very best scenes in the entire series as Johnny is dancing with two of his three (new) best friends and allies (the third being the Bad Boy of Karate himself, Mike Barnes who Johnny meets for the first time later that night) as he is lovingly and romantically embracing Carmen and their soon-be-born baby daughter Laura (named after Johnny's mother) as he finally gets the wonderful happy ending that he deserves and that the audience has wanted and hoped for Johnny Lawrence since the beginning of Season 1 Episode 1. What a wonderful redemption for this very handsome gentleman and badass. :)

I loved the karate movies as much as a kid as I do now, and it's both funny and fascinating, considering Daniel's former enemies are now basically friends for life and fighting side by side against Silver, I can see this scene even more Metaphor On the one hand, life is full of surprises and on the other hand, no one is perfect and everyone has the right to change and improve and how beautiful it is to see how enmity turns into friendship!❤

They finally addressed the scene in KK2 with the fake weights lol. I never understood how Chozen was cheating the people when the fake weights were lighter than real weights. So he would be paying more for the vegetables.

I didn’t get the weight scene exactly. I thought how it worked was that the villagers were buying crops from Chozen, and he was using fake weights to get more money from them. But it’s actually Chozen buying crops from them, and his plan for the fake weights indeed doesn’t make sense, so it’s pretty funny that when Daniel exposed Chozen, he actually saved him.

FUN FACT (confirmed by the actor who plays Amanda): the directors said that the actor who plays Carmen and the actor who plays Amanda could pick the music to play while they were filming this scene and they would just put the song your hearing now over it in the editing period.
