I hope to someday help her find it once she decides to sort it all out. when I do, i promise to upload it if it still works.

Truly, and sang straight from the soul of a troubled man like a proper rock or blues star. He was recorded in this the day after being released from the mental health clinic of a hospital following an incident at U.T in Austin where he attacked his manager with a lead pipe while under the influence of LSD. It was said a half dozen cops were needed to restrain him.

hugo mm I think this is why it is very important to find someone and marry them, and also to do your best to make friends and maintain those relationships. When you have people close to you, it makes the death of family members more bearable because you have someone to lean on emotionally for support. If you’re alone, it really would be a terrifying to have a parent die.

I had a magical introduction to Daniel back in the 80's (I lived in Houston). I had read about him from an article in SPIN magazine. Likely one of the first mentions of him in a national publication. This story fascinated me. Bypassing the traditional music merry-go-round by just handing out cassettes to any and everyone. This was the most brilliant thing I had ever heard and made me rethink my own (visual) art and exposure. - - Anyhoos, about a year later I am living in San Diego and popped into a Tower Records store, and as usual I dug through the cut-out bin for interesting $1 cassettes. There I found one of Daniels' home-grown, hand-decorated cassettes, "More Songs of Pain". I nabbed it and thus began my adventures into manic magic. A few years even later, I found myself living in Houston again when I discovered that he lived less than 20 miles (down the highway in Waller TX) from where I lived. After a little more spelunking I found his address and drove out there one day. I wasn't going to knock on his door or anything but if I saw him outside, I would stop and say hello. He wasn't so I didnt but that was ok. he's been in my soul ever since I first touched that Cassette. Which I still have BTW.

There were three or four cassettes that she had bought off the street from Daniel Johnston I think in Austin. Each cassette had a hand drawn cover on the wraparound cardboard. They were all popular images that ended up being on his record covers. I ended up selling them all but one that I kept. It’s the one with that little guy with a hat . Yip Some thing. Anyways I realize that these covers are works of art and I’m glad I said this last one. It’s beautiful but I don’t play the tape I’m afraid I will stretch it or where it out.
