As someone that's lived in Ohio most of my life, adding an 's' to the end of store names is one of the most common occurrences. My own mother does it, but she was born here. At my old job, one of the things I remember most was a customer thanking me for not adding an 's' when I was talking about Kroger, and Meijer because it was a pet peeve of his when people would do that.

And if you listen to this interview: Stephen interviewed Daniel before the movie even came out, and it was a movie with two black leads that most mainstream talk shows wouldn't be first to promote.

Correcting a person's english or grammar in public/social conversation is very disrespectful . It's better to let it slide and let it go unnoticed, which it usually does rather than make a laboured point of it. People should only correct children like this, in order to teach them about speech, language etc. Don't do it to adults in front others..... only in private discourse.

Yeah, we add an s to certain store names, but not all. At least here in Northeast Ohio. Target, Giant Eagle, Wally stay normal, but Meijer and Aldi ends up with an s at the end. 😅
