There was no golden age. Bernard dunne was a phoney who won a world title without fighting anyone decent & was shown up in his next fight. Pro fighting did not influence amateur performances which we have always been strong on. Andy Lee prob our greatest pro along with Steve Collins & both earned their living fighting in US & UK.
