I've never heard of it, but this could be a good way to bring in youth who feel the game is boring and expensive. As per a Forbes article, FlingGolf sales have been brisk after the episode and they’ve had to double up the size of their warehouse. A partnership with the U.S. Air Force has brought FlingGolf to a couple dozen bases in the U.S. and abroad and servicemen and women are beginning to glom onto the game.

There's something very similar to this called disc golf, which is way more fun!

Disc golf requires special baskets for the discs, and not every golf course has them, and some don't even allow disc golf, because they have to close the course to regular golfers in order to set it up for disc golf. With fling golf, you can play on any regular golf course right along with the regular golfers, & the course doesn't have to buy special baskets or advertise. It sounds like a good idea to me.

New sport, easy entry cost (physically, skill-wise, and economically) for a new game using existing infrastructure. If I was a golf person, I could easily imagine buying a couple for friends/kids to come along
