I think they chose Lori over Kevin because she has QVC marketing on her side. She can mass market their product in front of millions of viewers on television and get more of it sold faster. Lori is a good choice for them, she has the knowledge and expertise to help them get further. I see some of the products she is associated with in some of the stores.

They should've countered - that's what he wants to get out of people that he does that to. A counter opens up the floor, keeps the conversation moving when it needs to move along, and gives the other sharks an opportunity to hear the counter. So it's typically a win/win for everyone involved if they counter, but if they don't he bounces because he doesn't need the money. That also let's him know that they aren't on top of their numbers, plus it gets people to take the time out to talk about him and comment about it on KZbin.

For the first time, Kevin's deal is miles better than what the participants asked for (Lori coiped the same) Buck a ball until 500k means they have to sell 500k units, if they can scale this to at least 100k units a year (which is huge compared to what they're now) that already puts them in multi million dollar evaluation. Saving 5% equity at that stage is life changing. I'm glad they chose Lori because of added QVC commercial capabilities.
