Well kind of. For me, it has to be within reason for them to lie. Andrew Garfield had to lie to keep a big surprise stored away for a film. Considering that Marvel Studios wants to reboot X-Men and will eventually do an X-Men film, it makes no sense at all to lie about Wolverine unless he's making his first appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness or in a close upcoming MCU film.

But this is the problem of the writing if the actor has done a good acting and the writing is good so obviously audience will enjoy and say that its good. Just like in the case of jared leto's joker, in the sucide squad movie(2016) he was horrible becoz the writers didnt maked it well but then in the zack snyder's justice league audience loved jared leto's joker very much becoz of the writing. I totally love Daniel Radcliffe. I watched him grow up as a small boy to adulthood. Funnily enough I had called my own son Daniel and his middle name is Jacob, same as Daniel Radcliffe. It’s so surreal, because my Daniel has always looked so much like Daniel Radcliffe. He’s 23 now and still has an uncanny resemblance to Daniel Radcliffe. I swear it is all coincidence. I wish my Daniel was as rich and Daniel Radcliffe. 😂. They are both so handsome. My Daniel dressed up as Harry Potter in primary school for the book fair, I made up the costume, right down to the cape, wand, round glasses and lightning bolt scar. You could put them side by side and they could have passed as brothers. They were both so cute. And now both so handsome.
