Depending on your volatility is how much resistance you will face. Based off that meaning you will derive a purpose so they are related.

Good point, V. I'm glad someone wrote it. Lex with the quick razor sharp wit, very intelligent jokes he said off the cuff. Plus, I've always felt that out of the bigger intellectual names out there, that Lex was the weak link. Probably because he's the youngest to be included. "All he does is robot stuff," is how I used to pooh pooh him. BOY WAS I WRONG. Clearly, as shown in this interview, Lex has quite the range. Very expansive ken. He almost kept up with the Schmack.

He wants to make sure that the concepts are fully grasped, because Lex, as a computer scientist who will be shaping culture. If he can absorb and grasp what DS is offering, this is important for the bigger picture. Also, there is massive depth here, there is empathy, compassion and love present, and that is depth and genius.

He is an entirely homeschooled individual (never involved directly with any formal academic institutions) who began his life deeply involved in systems design, social activism, and meditative practices. If one had to put a label on him, one could say he is a social philosopher that is interested in understanding existential risk as it pertains to emergent civilization design. He has co-founded both Neurohacker Collective and The Consilience Project. I strongly suggest you check out his Sensemaking Series on Rebel Widsom hosted by David Fuller.

Great conversation, if history is an indicator than we are on track for a "gigadeath" event. History trends towards longer periods of peace in between increasingly more fatal scenarios. As hunter gatherers the maximum amount of dead would be in single maybe double digits (death). In the iron age the deaths were in thousands (kilodeath), medieval and onwards (bubonic plague/ world wars/ spanish flu) (megadeath), Post-industrial age and onwards (nuclear, cyber, biological, densely populated, tech dependent, AI, nanotech, genetic modification, resource scarcity, climate change) = GIGADEATH. The human stock market is due for a correction, this bull run will end before the next "buy" cycle. I have done a video on this concept on my channel.

Yes it was a series actually. The explanation he went into about the social media ai was truly needed to be spread to larger masses of people. He is an example of a human with the capacity learn complex subjects without becoming hijacked by misinformation. People would truly benefit from his viewpoints on how we can avoid the traps of limbic hijack and separating the noise from the signal. Regarding discomfort and the ritualizing of it. It makes me think of when I was a part of a dance company. There was definitely discomfort in the training. I've been thinking a lot of how that's a useful model for society.. It seems a lot of the same energies that might be used during violent conflict, can be directed instead toward personal and grouo excellence.. When we would come together with other companies there was never any violence or conflict . And even competition was positive and non rivalrous, a measure of accomplishment. It seems that some sort of group extracurricular activity such as team sports or groups in the arts are necessary when even considering the possibility of a game B society. I think that there's an inherent need in all of us to organize, plan, and execute something, as a group that is matched with a wirthy oponent, that fuels expansion.

A truly wonderful talk. I can barely express how happy hearing someone talking about Compersion. The term and even more so, the concept and definition even more rarely mentioned or shared. I first encountered the term at a poly fidelity conference and truly feel that if more people sought to develop compersion as their way of being and one of the main goals of their personal growth and development, we, as a race could develop and grow beyond current imaginations of how far ( in a beneficial manner ) mankind can go.

This was the first L.F. podcast I literally could not comprehend once the first hour passed. My ape brain could not handle the concepts they were discussing - and I understood the basic, underlying principles whenever I heard a few words that were familiar - but holy shit the depth in which these two humans speak is incredibly multi-leveled and somehow so fluid...It's going to take a couple weeks for me to listen to this session again in its entirety and understand what I've heard. I am just thankful that something like this exists - Lex, you are doing a beautiful thing for mankind. I always think back to the days when you first appeared on JRE - you've come so far, it feels like a journey for not only you but myself as well. I'm learning so much about humanity, science, spirituality, and dare I say - myself. Thank you. You have already solidified yourself in history as a legend.
