I do a 50/30/20 model and each month when I have to approve my paycheck, I go through my bank account and see what I'm spending and put it in the various categories.... Each month I'm well below each category so I think I'm doing pretty good.... It's interesting to see the different budgeting models out there. I do tend to be a natural frugal spender anyway (only buying what I need), which I think is appearing to be helpful in overall building wealth.
