Can you only use triggers and no microphone?
@itsmatchew2 жыл бұрын
I thought triggers were really good for gating on your mics, but not really seeing talk about that. Any insight?

If you gate the mics based on the triggers you will miss the attack of the things you will be hitting. If you record the input and record the mics and gate it afterwards in something like a daw it would be possible but in a live scenario like in a church you will be missing the attack

@@nandodavis if you're using overhead mics as an overall drum mix, using triggers as a gate actually works great in a live context. The overhead is capturing the attack and the close mic captures the body and tail of the it.

Questions! 🙋🏾♂️ Is the trigger module able to pick up on a cross stick groove or would you have to have mics for that? Is the trigger module able to do the same with the toms? Pretty sure. Just making sure.
