Hi Dan, great video! I've noticed that they've changed the formula of the compost to have 50% less peat which is a nightmare as the original product was much better in my opinion. Do you know of a good alternative that is mostly peat based? Cheers

Dan , my grass is killing me since I returfed in September 2019 ...I got to March 2020 and the start of lockdown and my grass looked stunning till I realised it was full of meadow grass 😖 I have spent all year 2020 and 2021 digging out clumps of Poaana and reseeding .. I scarified an reseeded sept lasst year and I have airiated and reseeded again a fortnight ago with a fork ...nearly killed me ..still no new grass coming through but the meadow grass is rife again 😒 I've used "jack's " all the time and I'm losing the will to continue !!! Only 16m square but I feel defeated

Weed grasses are like cockroaches. I laid a new lawn from seed last spring, and now one year later my lawn has come out of winter absolutely full of the stuff. Completely demoralised

I am in a similar boat, untested, but I plan to use my plug puller to make light work of pulling the meadow grass, I then have a large tray I am growing seed in, once that germinates and slightly matures I will pop it in the holes from where I have removed the poa annua, I may have found a source for a pre emergent which I may invest in and hopefully minimise this battle next year.

I'm gonna buy some Tenacity weed killer !!! Going against all the experts advice , but apparently it works !! And my knees , back and will power can take no more , otherwise I'll put good quality artificial garbage down and the hassle is over forever 😒

@@jimbo4890 love the idea. The problem is too widespread for me to use that technique

@@ajc2100 maybe have to apply something none selective and seed again, a combination of strong enough stand an pre emergent could be enough going forward difficult to say, problem is nothing selective makes it a nightmare, whilst I am no expert of the subject the research I have done leads me to believe the moist damp dull winter we have had is ideal for Poa annua, so the current battle maybe more severe than normal.

Hi Dan. I'm a bit worried about all the little stones that are in Jack's Magic compost bags. If I put this down as a top dressing I reckon the lawnmower is just going to be crunching rocks! A
