Hi Daniel Great videos and love your expert opinions. I have a question for you: I have a terrible infestation of leather jackets. Your help in this matter would be appreciated, many thanks Jeremy
@DanielHibbertLawnExpert9 ай бұрын
Tricky one, theres no real evidence the nematodes work as unless you take a sample out of the nozzle into a cup and put under a microscope to see that the nematodes are actually alive. And if they are and its put in in the sun the uv light will kill them and then the leatherjackets maybe too advanced for them to work as its more a september application, So if you seed and they are not dead they will ear your new seed

Hi Dan I'm not sure whether you'll get time to answer this so maybe someone else can.......After you've seeded and top dressed I've noticed in your videos you don't roller or walk over the seeded areas to get "soil to seed contact" like some others recommend is there any reason to or not ? I personally think that when I water the grass after overseeding then the soil will stick to the grass seeds that way and that's the way I've always done it but interested in your views or anyone else's who can comment ? Thanks in advance 😉
@SWR1122 жыл бұрын
You know what I used to gently walk over the areas seeded and it worked ok. Decided after your man here said the seed needs to turn when germination and just went with the spreading the compost loose on top and working it in gently. Yes I’ve only done it this year but feel yeah a difference more germination. I always think I know enough on grass to get by to produce a nice lawn but if you don’t take on board what a guy suggests that does it day in day out and to incredible results then it’s missing a trick. Next year i’m going to track down this Jack magic and that rake ( ok rake is £52 just to spread it but i’ll use it for years) 😂
