I graduated yesterday as well, and it didn't actually hit me until after I was driving to dinner afterwards. Just like that my 14 years of schooling came to an abrupt end. I remember being younger and every adult I came into contact with would tell me how time flies, but I never believed them.. But now here I am, 18, out of high school, and getting ready to attend college in a few weeks. It's crazy how quickly these last 4 years passed by. I laughed, I cried, I failed, I excelled, I got my heart broken, I healed, and I learned so much and made my best friends and met the most amazing teachers that are the reason I am where I am today. I've been watching you since my junior year, and I've always enjoyed that we're the same age and on the same level in terms of school, and you have been one of the people that have helped keep me motivated when I felt like I couldn't keep going. I discovered the quote, "she believed she could, so she did," from you, and I live by that quote. I wish you nothing but the best in your future expeditions.

girl, when you were driving in your car talking about cherishing the memories from hight school i was crying with you. i start my sophomore year of college in the fall, and i honestly miss high school a ton. granted, i didn't have the best four years in high school and there were so many things that i wish i could go back and change so that those four years could have been better, but those little memories that you mentioned like going to football games and just being with friends made my heart so full. it makes me so full of joy to know that you had such an amazing four years. you are such a beautiful and positive soul and deserve so much happiness. i hope your having a summer that's as amazing as you are and congrats on graduating❤️❤️

When you were talking about how this day marked the end of high school for you, idky I got emotional for you! Haha :) I wasn't the biggest fan of high school, and although college has had its ups and downs, it's been such an amazing time. And I love that you've had an awesome time in high school! Aw Danielle, your small 'speech' in the car made me think back to when I graduated my 'highschool' (secondary school in Ireland) ,this time last year, and I am still crying thinking back, you are so right when you say to make the memories count, I have so many good memories from school and I was also so lucky to have made some great friends!! One piece of advice I have for you and everyone leaving to go to college is always make time to see your old friends and never lose that connection you have as they will be your friends for life.

It marked 3 years at the end of May since I graduated high school and everything you said is true. It is normal that you cried. I cried on my graduation day with my class too. When you become a college student your life will change. High school can suck but those can be some of the best moments & years of your life, even when you go through rough patches. You will never be a teenager again. You will feel different and there's something beautiful about childhood and teenagehood.. Adulting is super hard but it's also a great experience. Live in the moment! Take everything day by day. Don't be too hard on yourself. Just live your life to the best of your ability!

I graduated hs two years ago and everything Danielle said is true. I started tearing. You will never be able to get that same feeling like high school. Appreciate it and take in each and every moment. It goes fast and sure getting up early everyday is very annoying, but trust me you will miss it. Coming from someone who had a great 4 years of high school and is now in my 2nd year of college, I can honestly say that the memories quickly fade. You get to experience college and you realize high school was so temporary and all the things you did does not even compare to how great college will be. I was the same way as Danielle, crying in my car the day of graduation, but looking back, I honestly don't care for high school memories anymore cause I am getting to experience college and is it makes you realize how minut high school really was.
