It's actually an appalling sense of entitlement. Not selfishness. We are all inherently "selfish" to a certain degree as we have different values, different beliefs, different ethics and responsibilities. The distinction is that the narcissist rejects ALL personal responsibility. And so, entitlement is their modus operandi for control and domination of the people around them. Entitlement is what you see in toddler behaviour, not selfishness.
