ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On KZbin and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

‘Chin on the shelf’ is a wonderful set up thought. It might just be me but a sweetly struck 3 wood on the par fives is one of my favourite things in the game. Lovely stuff, thanks Danny.

Good points and drills! Using the loft of the hybrid/wood club is key. I use a 3/4/5H (180-220ys) and occasionally a 9/5W (170-180) on longer shots instead of irons to help get additional height on my shots. Also, my 3/4H from the tee on narrow par4s👍

Danny, reviewed a chipping video you recently put out where you discussed using the “fish tail” approach there also. I had almost immediate success with this approach for fairway woods but more work needed on chipping and pitching….too many “fat” shots. Question: would you recommend the fishtail approach for ALL clubs? Any adjustment other than ball placement to stance?

Hi Danny, The one thing I struggle with on all clubs is my low point is always below my sternum. In the last 40 years it has always been the same. That and I have been told I have lazy hands. When I close the face for the draw I get shanks with still pushing the ball right of target. Taken many lessons from PGA pros. They keep pushing the ball forward outside the front foot , at 62making me really struggle to even get to the ball, adding loft to every club.. Now all of my iron clubs are playing between 65 yards with a PW to 120 yards with a good 6 iron. Playing ladies clubs even. I'm starting accept I can't hit anything longer than a six iron anymore...Thanks for the videos Danny!!

Very good image to work with - your images work so much better than the difficult-to-use technical data other KZbinrs suggest. Here's a suggestion for future topic. Consider a straight line from left shoulder to ball. Under that line the arms and club shaft form the other two sides of a triangle. Very slight changes in the angle between the arm line and the shaft line will make an enormous difference to the length of the line between left shoulder and ball. In golf terms slight changes in that wrist angle at impact will make all the difference between an ait shot, top, great contact or a duffed shot. Question for many golfers - what should that angle be and how to control it?

Danny, You are the Pro who presents instantly useable advice. As such, your videos make a difference in how We Your Audience perform. I thank you for that. One addition I'd like to see is an occasional playing lesson in which you play a round, or half a round, or a representative set of holes and go through your decision process for each shot and give alternative shots for we less gifted. An alternative version could be when giving a playing lesson you play 2 balls from where your student hits it, one like you would play it and one like he/she should play it then your student tries to replicate your recommended shot.

Hi Dan - great video as usual 👍 as a high handicapper I tend to move off the ball, especially with longer clubs. My coach is trying to get me to have more left side bend on backswing so I can stay more centred, so steeper back = shallow down. Like to see you do a video on this at some point. All the best, Ken

Hi Danny, great vlog as usual, however i have an idea for a series of vlogs for you... You play 9 or 18 holes with a subscriber at their golf club where you give them course management tips as you go round. Then you give them a range lesson afterwards telling them the faults you see in their swing

I switched to Callaway Superhybrids. They are the length of a hybrid, launch the ball high and the 18* turned down to 17* goes as far as my 18* 5 wood with excellent ball flight.

Great content and informative coaching as we get older (seniors) this clubs become crucial to help keep our scores close to our handicap really like the fish tail ideas just a simple question how do constantly get the right distance from the ball in your stance .As always great stuff Danny the people’s coach. 👏👍

I've watched dozens of videos claiming if you do what they say your swing will improve and you will hit your clubs better. I have been playing golf for 54 years (currently I am 70 years old) and nothing anyone has taught me, or tried to teach me, to improve my hitting the ball and playing better golf, has worked for me. Just going to plug along and be happy with what I am capable of doing.

Everybody is now teaching the Moe Norman single plane swing bit by bit. It really does work. I am now shooting in the 70s no matter the course that I play. See Todd graves kids. No hate on Danny he is one of the better instructors out there.

Great video. Playing the ball that forward, I tend to hit behind the ball or my fairway wood is on the way up as it hits the top half of the ball producing a worm burner. Would also like to see fairway wood shots that aren’t on a level lie. Down hill, up hill and side hill.
