Dude, you are the man! You are the only guy I have seen that actually hits the ball more often. So many guys love to talk to much and show no actual shots. I personally learn by watching someone actually hitting the ball rather than just talk about it too much. Keep the great vids coming. Thanks so much!

I hesitate to write this out of fear of jinxing myself, but I think you may have cured my slice. I just finished a very frustrating round this morning where I sliced every tee shot. I hit the driving range afterward and tried tips #1 and #2 from this video with only a little bit of success. But then I changed my top hand grip WAY more than I thought was needed and I started hitting everything straight for the first time ever. I think my grip was so weak that even moving it a little bit towards a stronger grip felt like overkill. But once I just accepted that the new grip was going to feel strange at first I started to get some good results. Thanks, Danny!

This will be my 88th video on “How to stop your slice” while using a driver. Interesting enough-none have stopped my slice. Right....Danny this video is immense. I've been playing since about 2018. I lost my dad to prostate cancer at a relatively young age back in 2016. I inherited his golf clubs (he was a very keen golfer) so I thought I'd better give the game a go. I have fallen in love with it but I have struggled with a slice. I've seen videos made by you, Rick Shiels, Pete Finch and clay Ballard, to name a few. Whilst my slice improved a bit, it was never fixed. Right up until I watched this video...I had messed with strength of my grip, tried to correct the swing path etc etc. The one thing I'd been missing all along was the sliding of the hand down my trail knee to create a proper starting posture. I hit the ball straight, I mean really straight, if not a slight draw. I'm absolutely over the moon. I can't tell you how happy it's made me to be able to truly enjoy the game and strike the ball correctly. Thank you so much mate. If you're ever up in Yorkshire, message me on here. I owe you a drink, mate. I'm now hitting my 8 iron 160 yards. I'm gob smacked. I'm having to re-learn all my iron distances now but I'm happy with that. ☺️ Cheers dude, much love. 👍

Danny, I’ve played golf most of my life (not seriously but semi regularly) and I’ve always sliced the ball and struggled around the green. My handicap is around 20-25 with me shooting from the low 90s on a great day to around 105 on a bad day. I watched this video the other day and realized I had been gripping the club wrong this whole time. I also watched one of your chipping videos and learned a really reliable way to get close to the hole (the 9 iron pendulum keeping the butt of the handle pointing at my belly button). I took these two changes to the course the other day and shot 3 over par on 9 holes and missed about 4 make able putts during the round. One guy even said during the round that he always dreamed of hitting his drive as far as I was hitting mine. Apparently when I straightened out my slice I discovered I was hitting it quite far. Thank you! If you are ever in the Portland area please let me know and I’ll buy your round of golf and your round of beers. Cheers!

Thank you Danny. My game has been in the toilet the last few months. It has been so inconsistent, was not good for my health. Watching your videos created the eureka moment this morning on the driving range. I noticed I have been very rigid. Meaning my left leg was basically locked and I couldn't get the weight transfer needed during the swing so I would have all the weight on my right side. I was either hitting the ball fat or thinning it. But, this morning after watching many of your videos, I felt what I was not doing. A little drip of the left knee back and towards the ground and then on the down swing all the momentum created a smooth effortless swing with solid contact. I am not saying all swings were right on but enough to make me feel better going into my next round of golf. Also, to fellow golfers, do not try to kill the ball, slow and steady will win the race to a better shot.

Thank you Danny!!! You made a huge difference for my driver. For me it was the grip. I was holding the club wrong. Wow, what a difference at the range today. I still need time to get used to the new grip with my irons, but I'm really impressed with the new drives. They're both straighter and longer. You're an outstanding teacher.

I am a predominately right handed person in life but when i play golf for some reason i play left handed. I had believed for many years that having my stronger hand on the top of the grip when hitting shots led to slicing and poor distance. Since watching your videos I changed what i did and in 20 mins was hitting straight and 30 yards further than ever before. Fantastic feeling

Danny, you're a legend mate. Improved my golf game by tenfold. I used to purposefully aim to the left because I knew I would slice it, now I can confidently hit it fairly dead straight using your tips (well, 90% of the time). Appreciate your videos mate, new subscriber secured. Thank you!

I haven't played golf for over 30 years, but I've had a hankering to get back to it since lock downs were lifted. The other day I went to a driving range and hit 50 balls with a terrible driver that they offered punters to use for free. I thought it was the club that might be contributing to the 4 out of 5 slices that I was getting, but I knew it couldn't be just that. Driving away I felt demoralised and wanted to forget it. This lesson, out of so many I've looked at on KZbin, is by far the best to re-cap those old lessons I had a as a boy back in the '80s. Thank you so much for putting this up here! I'm now off to the driving range with a band new driver I just bought! Wish me luck!! 😂

Thanks great instruction. Appreciate the types of drills explaining the feel of the swing and of the body at different points during the swing. Have watched lots of videos and been frustrated when there’s so much talk about this angle, that ‘plane’ , 90 degrees here, 60 degrees there; your explanations are real feel. Worked for me. Thanks!

It's been a few years since my slice. I had a random, serendipitous break through one day at the range. I realized I wasn't setting up right, I had recently also fixed my grip a bit and lowered my right shoulder. Suddenly I was bombing it dead straight and sometimes even drawing it. Then I went to the other side of the spectrum and I started hooking it, sometimes topping it so I watched a video of Danny's and I realized I was taking it back to quickly. The takeaway is a very important move. Keep that club on plane on the practice take away and on the actual swing. It's been doing wonders for me. I've been bombing it dead straight again.

WOW. I've been randomly hooking/slicing my drives about 80% of the time. Just got back from the range after trying the hand slide from the thigh to the back of the knee, felt an immediate change in my posture, and balls hit from that angle are now consistently straight. Thanks Danny!

Thank you for this!! Been searching for the fix to my slice and it finally clicked today. It was my tilt. Touching the back knee put me in the proper posture for the driver swing and helped properly align my front shoulder that was too open.

Nice one again Danny. I just got my handicap (18...no surprise!!!) and thanks to your tutorials I am starting to strike the ball better and lo and behold the odd 'golf shot'. My slice is much improved and I notice when I am very relaxed and warmed up I can hit quite straight drives. But when the pressure comes on (out of bounds right on 11 and 12) my booming slice comes back into play. I will stick to the drills you gave us and I look forward to sending it out over the woods to the right and drawing it back into the middle of the fairway. Thanks again for the really clear instruction and I will keep you posted. Michael from Ireland.

My 9 year old son has recently got into golf and I thought I may as well get myself some clubs and play with him, rather than just walking around with him. Went to the range 2 days ago and while I can hit some good distance with some shots, I’m having a lot of mis hits and almost all of my shots are slicing right. The slice is pretty impressive to be honest, almost going as far right as it is forward, so this video has really given me some good pointers to try next time. Just watched a couple more of your videos and subscribed 👍🏼
