True but to be fair it's kind of hard to play the Italian without very theoretical lines it can be very sharp at times and is one of the most studied openings in chess. If he wants to not play super theoretical lines he should probably play the london or something
@Joe-nh8eq3 жыл бұрын
Well this line is highly theoretical but there’s really only 2-3 critical moves you need to just know.
@manfrom20xx133 жыл бұрын
Well the biggest difference is that in fried liver if you dont know ALL the critical move, you can lose the game instantly whereas normal italian is just a lot simpler to play

Who sees it? that is correct "i will explain that move after the game. I have to concentrate now because I'm a little low on time." 16 seconds to go, game ends with checkmate with 14 seconds to go. This is not rocket science Boom goes the dynamite This is theory How do we add a little bit of Tabasco sauce to this? Danya, would you ever consider doing a series where you analyze a set of instructive GM-level (or even just titled) games in a particular opening? I’ve put a moderate amount of time into studying opening theory, but it can be difficult to analyze a position in the early game without resorting to rough heuristics or memorization. Looking at a single opening over several games would help in getting a more solid grasp over opening theory and how ideas across different lines can transform the position going into the middle (or even end-) game. I don’t know of any big chess youtubers that have put out content like this, only very brief introductions that tend not to focus on instructive games but theory instead. I feel like this is not as practically useful, though. Maybe the Ruy would be cool to start. Common at all levels, topical, lots of complexities, but also some common ideas across variations. It is also always incredibly entertaining to have a titled player break down a high level game, besides being instructive. Hits a nice spot for KZbin videos I think.

Good idea, but I would start with something like the Italian, or Caro-Kann for black. As they're much more beginner-friendly openings than the Lopez.

I know people have already explained why this is bad, but any time you make a move threatening someone or with the intention of a follow up, just ask yourself what your opponent will do. It’s the best way to fight one-move-itis, and once you realize that you’re making pointless threats, your play will improve a lot. :)

Sorry dude. I’m not currently stuck but I can imagine it must suck. I’m a couple hundred points lower than you, but what do you study? It might just come down to just one aspect of your game. Whenever you lose, try putting the game in chessbase (or a lichess study if you don’t have chessbase) and annotate the exact reason you lost the game. Also write down how you can avoid making the same mistake in the future. Hope this helps, good luck :)

bishop takes night & you get doubled pawns and no more passed pawn opportunity
@thejuiceloosener1503 жыл бұрын
If the bishop wasn’t there, it would’ve been a solid move, as that c4 outpost is an ideal placement for the knight. That said the doubled pawns needlessly weakens your queenside and the bishop for knight isn’t sufficient compensation for the structural damage
