I love how that single a3 move caused the opponent to go from equal to drowning in custard in one move. You can just imagine them thinking "oh I learned about prophylaxis from that KZbin guy, time to put it into action". Danya's expression and voice change at 2:35 is also hilarious.

a3 wasn't what drowned them; not even allowing the centre fork trick drowned them. It was their response to the centre fork trick that killed their position.

0:40 I guess people don't like to play the open Sicilian because of bad experience. I remember my time as chess newbie developing an intense fear and hate towards open sicilian. Because (open-) sicilian players are always ahead in the theory anyways -> often resulting in losing games for white. So the META-Game is to "torture" the sicilian player with the alipin or closed sicilian in hope the sicilian player lack theory in these openings.

many GM would stop, after black take our knight in c6, it will good for us. And never tell how to punish white after taking it. Many people take the knight and our position crumble from there. Yes we have major pawn in centre but can't push pawn and bishop have no square to develop. And we are one piece down in the board due to inactive.

12:25 isn't the more clinical move Be5 here because it poses the most direct threat? It attacks the white knight which defends the white rook so if we had an extra turn, we would take the knight, removing the defender of the rook. If white trades rook, we queen for free. If white moves the knight, we take the rook for free. At the worst, we gain a full rook. I'm not saying that f5 isn't winning, just that it takes more time to create a legimate threat so I wonder why Danya didn't mention it. Perhaps he just missed it, but if he did, then I would be very proud of myself since that move was the first that came to mind to me once I tried looking for a better move than immediately queening.

İ hope you wont just finish speedrun by the time you hit around 2200 like the speedrun before. Because the high rated games are the most beneficial ones for me( i guess for all of us) and we would like to see 1700-1800+ games for a longer period. There are more theory lines, more advanced maneuvers, players dont lose to 1-2 move tactics immediately and of course there is more room for analyse after game

Search "yasser seriawan accelerated dragon". He gives a really good explanation for *why* each move gets played. If you know the motivation behind the moves, you aren't "memorizing an opening", you're understanding the ideas behind it and acting on them. Get a diary book and work out the lines, read up the moves from other grandmaster games and find out why the move is played, or reason out for yourself why it's played. Also, you can draw out the chess positions in your diary, simplified if you like to just a 3 x 3 or 4 x 4 position. Judit Polger mentions this in one of her books.
