Me and my significant other used her 15-year old, non-expiring Magic Castle invitation this last month. The shows were great but my most favorite performance was an impromptu 3-card Monty performance by an older guy. His setup was really great. He made it seem like he was just another regular and was showing us a trick since the hall exhibit was full. To ease the trick he demonstrated how he learned how not to gamble by an old man one day and proceeded to put us in his shoes long ago. It really was impressive how smooth and organic the trick moved along. Simple, elegant, and mesmerizing. Thanks for all you put out there. ♥

After seeing Daniel’s 3-card monte routine hundreds of time, I kinda remember most of the script by now but my favorite was “You will always get the card where you least… EXPECT IT *points at the money card*”

This was a great performance, the comedy wasn’t forced and the interaction with everyone made it even better! The casual pocket of the dollar made me chuckle quite a bit and the switch from one 10 to two 10s left me stunned!

I’m a beginner magician as of a couple of months and it was your tutorial videos that taught me my very first tricks - and taught them in the best possible way, I might add. Thank you so much!

My problem with my 3 cards Monte is that sometimes, it feels like "I'm better than you" kinda thing... So your pieces of advice really helped me !

I started looking into sleight of hand because of a new videogame called Card Shark. Your channel has been fascinating to watch. I'd love to see you play or react to footage of Card Shark. Should be right up your alley, it's all about cheating at cards and even has the 3 card monte. It would be fun to see a professional's opinion on the sleight of hand in the game.

I love your videos Daniel! Your performances look very clean and the style inspired from gambling and card cheats is very compelling in my opinion, its not something I usually see on magicians. To be honest, I found your channel when looking about second deal/bottom deal because of the game Card Shark too! There's even a character called Erdnase in it. I also think a play/react video about the game could potentially be a good fit for the channel.

I had already watched this performance months ago-- fantastic. Quick question-- Did you graduate from UPenn w a degree in NeuroBiology?? To do that as well as get to your Professional level of card magic is simply amazing to me. I knew this past year you had studied "Molecular Biology" at UPenn from around the internet-- but wow-- how did you find time to hone your amazing skills?? I'm just fascinated because I went to Princeton w a degree in History and now run an Investment Company-- I Took up card magic/sleight of hand as a hobby 18 mos ago and just loving it. Such a great story you have. And so ridiculously talented== Many hours of hard work-- great stuff Daniel !!! and btw-- a NeuroBiology degree would be 10x harder than my History degree !!!!!!!

Yup, I graduated from UPenn with a degree in biology, concentration in neurobiology. Initially, my concentration was in molecular biology, but I switched to neurobiology partway through. Glad you've enjoyed the videos!

Canada Bill Jones? Was he Canadian by chance … cool to hear a bit of magic and history.

@@DanielRoyMagic You make the 3-card monte look like an easy guess … and tricked me! 😂 Well done! I checked on this ‘Canada Bill Jones’, we were barely a country in his day - although (still) commonwealth to England. My family crossed from Detroit around the same time … that’s a cool history lesson with Fascinating magic!

Hard to call this a “reaction”. As if he’s never watched this before. More of a breakdown.
