I like watching your videos over a bunch of other chasers. It's how you illustrate your thinking process. Where we still hear the excitement in your voice but not so over the top or obnoxious. Thank you for what you do, and always stay safe when you're over here chasing.

Agreed!! Watching Dan & Hank Pecos chase videos are my fav. Can't stand the yelling & screaming from other chasers😂😂
@2dogsmowing17 күн бұрын
@petarenae4823 I was thinking about Hank also when I was writing my comment. The obnoxious yelling is just over the top and unprofessional. It's gees, act like you have been there and done this before. Instead of sounding like a freaking rookie. I understand having the excitement but if you have been doing this for years. The crazy yelling should subsided over time with the experience.

@DanielShawAU it helps with the narrative of what we as viewers want to know what is going on inside the casting leads noggin. Why do you think they do dialogues in day time soaps or when the villain or the good guy do in movies. It draws a audience into your realm of thinking. So we see more through your minds eye. Plus, you have a cool calm demeanor during time of chaos and destruction. Overwhelming loudness and choas from 2 sides. It makes people uncertain and 2nd guessing on what to do. Even if the content creator is in full situational awareness. it's just my opinion and there's a lot of subscribers on some channels. But there's a lot of the same on the television that have people trained to that craziness. To each their own. It's just for me. I have enough going on in my head to add that madness in with it all. Lol

@@2dogsmowing Thats one of the reasons why i stay with Daniels Stormchasing Livestreams and Content since 2016. This calm ,rational, , high quality Standards and situal awareness while chasing made me always feel comfort driving virtually in the RAV. Also he explains a lot an takes us with his though process and his concerns of High Risk Days and safety for him and the public. I don't know any Chaser who talks with his Audience this way, esp after emotional distressing Events, talking about what has happened. Being able to switch MODES from Silly /Funny to Serious /Operational almost instantly. Also prepares us Audience in what we might could see that Day. This Level of Care is something I really appreciate, in the first Years I had no clue how bad thing can become. Today I'm well more prepared to expect bad things to happen, esp since I understand Radar well enough. Daniel was also a amazing teacher in understanding the Radar and showing us what actually is going on right now. Reading the Sky without Radar.Ignited my own passion for Weather and Photography

I noticed you uploaded a video from home recently, and I'll admit that I had mixed feelings. On the one hand I was sad because if you're in Australia, then this years chase season is probably over. However, my sadness was soon replaced with excitement because I knew you'd be uploading some long form videos from this past summer's chase season because home = proper video editing equipment! ❤❤

I'm in Townsville FNQ lol and I swear we have a dome over us 😢 I'm originally from Mount Isa NWQ and the storms would get out there were absolute rippers !!! 14yrs away from the country now, and 2 events I really remember for FNQ, YASI 😨 and the freak twister than ran through here like a decade ago I wanna say ? Nothing memorable... the tropic up here is not so tropical (besides the humidity 🙅♀️ ) these days.. Summer please bring big rains and big storms and month long monsoon troughs... pleaseeee Mother Nature ❤

Ah, this beautiful day. Some homes in Altus suffered damage, including mine. Jackson county is very weird when it comes to reports if it's not by our emergency manager. He's come on the scanner a few times ordering Altus police and JSO to be the spotters, not to log any other reports from others. They call their own shots. As any city or town should, if you see a tornado, sound the siren, don't wait for NWS. But the thing is, even when there is no tornado warning for us, they do alarm if they "believe" something vs what's on radar. With that being said, our city emergency manager did sound the alarm in Altus during this. They did state that the new rotation was hovering over Altus for almost an hour. I didn't have visual as I was already in shelter. The other thing about Jackson county: they really don't like chasers. Looking for more money to finish this courthouse renovation. Our jail isn't a stranger to chasers. The final reports from this day, on chasers requesting assistance: 7 required assistance. 5 out of them 7 chasers were ticketed for reckless driving. 😅😅

Evidently it's been awhile since I've found my way to your vids. That roof cam was genius! Also digging the hail shield ala the old sunshades. The uplift early in the vid looked almost like induction jets, the tell-tale sign of a massive low pressure system ingesting huge amounts of atmosphere. I suspect the monster in the title is going to prove Very true momentarily! The base was so flippin' low on that cell it was basically tail-dragging. Oof!

I'm a college student who only has time to storm chase for about two weeks each spring due to my classes, and after one year of trying and failing, this was the first tornado I ever saw! I think it was a great first tornado, and I was completely mesmerized watching the winds dance around the base of the cone. I don't yet have the experience to get the crazy close-up views that I've seen of from other storm chasers, plus there was tons of chaser traffic as well as sketchy roads, so I watched it from nearby the Doppler on wheels truck, a mile or so away.

That's a crazy amount of looky loo's! LoL I grew up in Mangum, all over here since 72'. I can not remember seeing anyone else storm chasing until 90's, maybe. Dad and I drank beer and watched tornadoes, binoculars but no camera. It was our entertainment. And not another person around! I knew every Trooper and Game Warden, no one else followed tornadoes. It was crazy. LoL But the amount of people in your video watching storms blows my mind! Like tourons in Yellowstone! LoL!!

12:17 I've seen these in a few videos now. I'm reminded of the Leigh Orf simulations, showing that a hidden part of Tornado genesis are these smaller vortexes that eventually merge into a primary tornado. He's been looking for proof of these, and I'm wondering if there's a more reliable way to capture more of them, maybe something like a drone.
