My dermatologist said women should not use 5% minoxidil as it could increase facial hair growth. I am getting good results with the 2% solution, but it did take about nine months to see results (I only use it once a day).

I use 5 percent everyday in morning and I don’t have any facial hair growing from it. I guess we are all different

I use minoxidil for a long time and it helps a lot with hair loss. The only downside is that I get dandruff from it, so I use an anti-dandruff shampoo for that

Thanks! Love your channel. I learn so much. Been using Kirkland minoxidil for about 9 months and it’s working surprisingly well (I started with low expectations). Started 2x day, now one. Apparently I need to be more careful with application, tho. And, thanks especially for the tip re pets. I had no idea. 😟

Thank you so much for your informative video Dr Sugai. I am a healthy 62 year old female with mild androgenic alopecia. Started using the men’s Kirkland minoxidil solution once a day with good results. In your video you mentioned that women can use it twice a day. I wanted to use it twice a day for even better results but was concerned about possible side effects. Is it okay then for women to use twice a day? My other question is, do you have any tips on how to prevent minoxidil from fading the color of my color treated hair? Thank you.😊

Hi Dr, kindly provide your thoughts on whether nanoxidil is worth our time.

Dear Dr Sugai, if you read my comment i would appreciate your thoughts on scalp massage please. If the point of minoxidil is to increase blood supply, could scalp massage achieve the same effect if one was persistent with it? Also, i am a woman, and I see/know lots of other women with a receding hairline, not just men. I have been putting an eyelash growth serum on the receding areas and there is definite growth, not dramatic, and early stages, but even my hairdresser mentioned it to me. I have made an appointment to see a dermatologist and will ask him about the eyelash serum on the scalp/safety etc, but do you have any thoughts on that please? Thanks for all your videos and lovely manner.

*Query* - Tx Dr. Daniel (and your team) Can you speak to supplements incl Viviscal, especially if *not* sponsored. The other item you mentioned is not sold above the the border here. I see it is *shark cartilage* and I kind of have an ethics thing surrounding using such due to the harvesting of such. Especially being born-raised ocean shoreline of the Salish Sea. It is engrained within myself, due to DNA to be a mermaid of sorts - wild open water swimmer, thus immensely connected to all things ocean and sea related. Could you even speak to the other ingredients possibly like the pacific oyster it lists as second ingredient. Like most others, I too know that vitamins and supplements are not regulated in US or Canada alone and it is a hit or miss situation. Canada will not allow the sale of endless items that sit on US store shelves. I basically try to buy supplements from very strict and long term proven companies that are Swiss - German made, via a specific vit.++ store that is over 30 years in business. Wondering if you have any important knowledge about anything specific as you read or have access to PubMed - Lancet etc plus all so many behind the scenes data that the average layperson does not have. Thank you as always.
