Daniel I can't thank you enough for this video! I have been noticing my line work has been becoming more consistent and this is exactly what I needed to have in the back of my mind as a check list to ensure I can find that balance. I always enjoy the time-lapses, and the follow along, but when the beefy information videos come out those just can't be beat! Thank you for this Daniel you are appreciated! Blessings to you and your family brother!

Thank you for sharing this. I had 2 tats done last Aug & Sept on my arm and she was an apprentice still for almost 13 months with art design degree in various mediums & a multipotential individual (various types of art from pottery to oil paintings etc). She did a good job but even after going for touch-ups in Oct it still looks faded. One is a black wrist tat with semi-colon, heartbeat and ends with an open-ended heart and the bigger piece is a black with pink, purple Phoenix that's not vibrant at all. I've used Hustle butter and I do use a daily moisturizer as well -always have and do protect from sun as well since I live in the south now. I'm debating on if I should go back to her for a 'do-over' or go elsewhere. My son gets his 1st tattoo in a week and the artist said he could redo/recolor mine as well. Any thoughts on this? I'm open to suggestions/ideas. Thanks.

Hey Mr Yuck i was wondering if you could do a video explaining pulling and how to deal with it? I experience it sometimes where the needle wants to go its own direction in the fake skin
@jessihelsley66464 ай бұрын
You may need a better quality of needle or pull the skin tighter or both your needles shouldn't do that
@333funkymunky4 ай бұрын
@@jessihelsley6646 got it, I experience it mainly in fake skin not really when i tattoo myself so i wonder if its because the silicone is so hard

I see this, and I also have seen the slicing in my face skin. Unfortunately, I think I have too thin of artificial skin. It seems to be about 1 mm. Could you recommend a decent "real" fake skin? Also, I have a couple of what most would call "simple," tribal designs, and I was wondering if you could recommend proper size needles for those and proper shades, mags, etc.? I can send you the designs if you'd really like to be specific but I'm sure you have probably encountered these and even more...lol.! Thank you brother and keep up the AWESOME tutorials!!!!

How do you get your stencil to stay on your fake skin. I for the life of me can not get it to stay
@jadentorres209320 күн бұрын
the only way to really get it to stay in is to leave it overnight

I use stencil stuff, it's like a cream that transfers the stencil to the skin and I ussualy let it do a drying for like 10 to 20 mins but very light amount is needed depending on size of design

Ok I’ve been practicing neo trad on fake skins and have been lining with a 9rs but I can’t seem to get a solid color, it always shows up as three like tight lines. Is this just Bcs fake skins kinda suck or is it my positioning
@DanielYuck4 ай бұрын
That is a great question. If I am understanding you correctly it can be because our hand speed is too fast. It can be our needle depth maybe too shallow. Our voltage can be low. It is really hard to say but these are some of the main reasons that came to my mind. Fake skin also does accept ink differently from human skin so it is a bit hard to actually say without seeing.

@@DanielYuck update: my mentor said it was just the fake skin. it was a really cheap fake skin. i just did my first skin tattoo and it went great :)

Sometimes you might have to do a second pass if anything because of the grouping but if you slow down it should be solid and i love the solid look from a RS

I thought "bugpins" were a 10 ? The "double zero" as you called them...
@tianaevans52294 ай бұрын
I just watched a video where it said 8 are bugpins and 10 are double zero
@lesleycarter74064 ай бұрын
@@tianaevans5229I Googled it. Lol " So, when a tattoo artist says they're using a “bugpin,” they could be referring to either an 8-gauge or a 10-gauge needle, but 95% of the time, they mean a 10-gauge needle." So I guess both are correct if it's smaller than a 12 gauge.
@LindsayClark-hh3qkАй бұрын
I'm my experience when they say standard they mean 12 and when they say bugpin they mean 10. That's what I've gathered from most videos I've watched

Quick question why are you running the volts lower for a smaller liner. I get what you said about about less mistakes but is there a reason smaller liners are ran slower and would you do the same witha 5rl as I find running a 9rl at 8.5V comfortable but with the 5 and 3rl is feels abit too aggressive for that liner. Same with the hang I always float my needle but going from a 9rl to a 3rl I find my hang is too long would you suggest adjusting the hang for smaller liners?
@joshbacino49753 ай бұрын
Run the volts lower for smaller liners because they are more "aggressive" can cause damage trauma to skin faster.
@justinsmet10 күн бұрын
3rl and 5 round liner I ussualy run about 5.5 to 6.5 volts
