@@royltattooatl firstly you clearly haven't watched his other videos, he usually explains and advices everything. Secondly, am not commenting on ur yt video. I Don't understand why people need to gate keep everything unless doing an apprenticeship. But Daniel isn't like that. He explains everything, that's why i asked him regarding the above.

I currently have 10 finger tattoos but plan on getting more this year. Unfortunately, almost all of them have required touch ups. 2 months ago i had 5 new finger tattoos done as well as touch ups on 4 i already had on that same hand & i have an appointment next week to have touch ups done on the 5 finger tattoos i got just 2 months ago. Usually after the first touch up i wont need to fix them for a while. Touch ups aren't ideal but id rather do that then have a blow out, so I'm not complaints.

What about the side of the fingers? I recently did one and it was such an awkward spot to tattoo and such an awkward position for my machine. Sadly the client wasn’t happy with the outcome so she will be coming back for a touch up. It was the side of the ring finger so not a easy finger to get to or position. 😞

Hey Daniel random question : Do you use an autoclave or do you use disposable grips? If so what’s better? Please and thanks bro 🙏🏻
@DanielYuck
@DanielYuck Жыл бұрын
Thats a great questions! I personally use an autoclave and chemical sterilization methods to sterilize my gear. I am not opposed to disposable grips at all as it seems like a smoother and easier clean up process over autoclaving. I would say that it depends on the artist and how they feel about the sterilization process. Some would prefer disposable some would prefer metal, to each their own. I wouldn't say that there is a better but more so what is better for each artist.

Hey Daniel, I have a question: when i tattoo thin lines, they end up thicker when they are healed, the ink starts spreading in skin, how do I stop that, how to tattoo thin lines that stay thin? Great video btw, I love watching you, you are the best.
@DanielYuck
@DanielYuck Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your kind feedback and support! I appreciate you. With ink spreading there are so many variables to consider from the ink we use to the needles used and the technique used to apply a thin line or any like really What I will do is cover this topic in a full in depth video and I will cover different ways an artist can go about avoiding ink bleed or minimize it. Bear with me as I get this done and uploaded.

@@solidbudz8602 Thank you so much, but thats weird cus I always pay attention to the needle depth when I tattoo, I tattooed on real skin few times, for example I tattoed back of the shoulders where skin is thinner then on the thighs, and lines were perfect and thin, they healed well, but when I tattoed on thighs i used the same size needle and paid attention to the depth but when it healed lines ended up thicker then they were when it was fresh. Do you know why is that, is it maybe because of the skin type or something like that?

Thats a great question! 1:50 I talk a bit more on my logic behind picking needles for fingers. If I remember correctly I was using a Stigma 10-03RL for these finger tattoos. I pick smaller configurations for example like the Stigma 10-03RL for fingers because I can be very precise with where I place the ink and with how much ink I deposit. I will link you to the needle I was using in this video below for you. Stigma 10-03RL amzn.to/3R4NKiM

Wish I saw this video 2 weeks ago 😒 Pretty much used the same approach, and I think they turned out great..but I sure could have used some reaffirmation then lol.. Plus I had a fk-head fk-face shop owner telling me and my nervous client about how light I’m going and how he usually grinds down to the bone on fingers so they stick better..and of course, I can’t tell if he’s sliding me cues, or straight fk’n gaslighting. 5 years of this shit! I’d be doing fine and having a great time if those hacks would just stay the fk out of my studio.. Anyway, I enjoyed the video, good job…Cheers👍

I appreciate your feedback and time! One thing I won't understand probably ever is the idea of other artist telling another artist how to tattoo. To me it almost sounds like we have to operate in a certain way when it comes to the technical application of tattooing. I found that rules can be bent and sometimes broken to create beautiful tattoos. So with that being said I won't stand around another artist telling them how to tattoo unless they come to me for advice on my practices. Other than that I feel like it is soliciting info. I am glad I am able to help you in a better direction.

I always have trouble making ink stick the closest I get to thicker skin like the edge of palm or thumb knuckle. I've practiced on myself but have had to touch up and still have to touch up. Very informative with lower voltage and smaller groupings. My goofy self used 1207 thinking the bigger the needle the deeper and bolder I can get. Learning curb🥲
