How refreshing to find a video of a young girl who knows what she's talking about when it comes to her truck. I'm an old bloke who's been around the traps a few times and I get a bit over all the overly blokey type 4x4 videos where the boys just try to be better than everyone else. I like the fact that you have an older vehicle and understand not only how it works, but also what it takes to make it do what you want it to do. Thank you for sharing.

I thought the Utes were the Car derived pickup's single cab car front end. But I suppose as it is a utility vehicle it does cover all pickups, here in the UK we don't get the nice stuff and big V8's but I do run a Chevy LUV crewcab basically a Isuzu Rdeo 3.0L automatic chipped and much abused but mostly stock it goes anywhere I take it.@Dave D

You're welcome. We have a 91 troopy with the usual issues but a good motor and drive train, and a relatively immaculate 94 ute currently presenting us with huge potential for unforgettable adventures in as yet unexplored regions of the transfer case. We use KZbin for back up, because we really only have half a clue and a workshop manual and if we ever get stuck right up the creek, we are pretty friendly with a local mechanic who does the FNQ work ethic quite well even though he is a cheese maker from Switzerland. We try and make him show us the ropes but by the time we have fetched the refreshments, he has pretty much done half of it and we are none the wiser. The point is, you do the youtube presentation really exceptionally well except you won't kick a spare wheel under the truck just in case. Tie a short rope to it so you can easily retrieve it or whatever, but I didn't like watching you crawling in under like that one little bit.
@DanieSimpson5 жыл бұрын
@@amywas1 yeah nice. If you ever have any questions happy to try answer them:) but you sound pretty set! Tyre doesn't fit under axle and putting it under the chassis will not stop the axle from moving. I did a video on my insta showing I can still sit under the guard if the jack collapsed or fell completely out. Screw type bottle jack failures are probably rarer than stands falling out

@@DanieSimpson Yeah the whole unit came off ours, reckon it might be a mechanic job unless i can get that middle bolt off, but i dont think i could without damaging the crankshaft Cheers for the response though!! :)

You should wash the chasis after driving through salt water. Just hose it down to get the salt out.

Water isnt the best solution of rust prevention. I lanolin the chassis every major service or before a beach run.Hence why there is not an ounce of rust in the chassis. I dont lanolin paint work and living on the coast eventually paint will chip and the body will rust.

How did it go on 35s non turbo?? Looking to put some on mine but unsure. Had you broken anything with them on? And how slow was it with them on??
@DanieSimpson5 жыл бұрын
I have 33s

The 35s went onto the 105. They make for better fuel economy but slow your acceleration
