@@atafuri usually those are ties; when both people’s times are low but the game is close, the agree to draw. They half-extend their hand to the opponent to indicate that they want a draw.

Love how after sacking a pawn, Nakamura was dictating play and coordinating his pieces better. Dubov was making safe moves to not lose on tactics. In the end it was Naka who offered the draw (typically the player who's in the driver's seat)

When we play, we can see about 2 or 3 moves ahead if you like chess. They see many moves ahead and know when to draw. Like Magnus (number 1 player in the world) drawing at move 5.

you can hear them saying "I offer a draw". in this case it was at 7:54 where dubov said it after he removed his hand from his mouth

In this case, Dubov audibly said “I offer a draw.” sometime at 7:54. However, at the end of a game, both players put their kings in the center. If both kings are on the same colored square, it is resigning (by the player who reaches their hand out). If one king is on white and one king is on black, it is a draw (for both sides).

I am a newcomer to chess and was wondering why Dubov didn't move d rook to c1 at around 3:10. I don't quite understand why he moved queen to d3 instead when it seemed that the aforementioned move would have put him in the best advantage state in regards to the c5 pawn. Can someone explain this?

At the very end of the game, Nakamura could've won a pawn by ...Nxf2! After Kxf2 then Bxe3+ Kxe3 Rb3+, forking the king in e3 and the bishop in a3. Maybe he saw that but figured that the position would have been draw anyway. After this follow up, black would have a better pawn structure, but I don't know if it would have been winning, I don't think so.

The passed pawn looks dangerous, but unfortunately after Ra8 , Rc4 and Nd2 White has to give up the pawn because the Rook will eventually be forced off the 4th Rank and with the 4on4 on the kingside it's a dead draw with correct play.

Stockfish suggests evaluation at 0, + 0.1. You should also cut Dubov some slack, he fought very well against the No.1 Blitz player in the world. He is still young (23) and has time to grow. A draw against Naka is a great result for him.

Блиц их развивает намного быстрее чем в своё время классика развивала гениев предыдущего века (ну и развитие шахмат как науки в первую очередь, сейчас все всё знают и теория есть много о чем)
