In Germany, you can’t watch US Open on free tv, you can watch this only on pay tv 😂. The government needs money 💰!

It is buy it depends on your service provide. I have KZbin TV so I am fine. Spectrum is one of the largest cable TV/Internet provider in the country. They pay a licensing fee to a channel (i.e. ESPN, The Tennis Channel, Fox Sports). ESPN (owned by Disney) which has the broadcasting rights to the US Open could not come to an agreement as to what the fees will be. Disney wants more money while Spectrum doesn't want to pay. So as a result Disney pulled ESPN from Spectrum. As mentioned, Spectrum is one of the largest if not THE largest cable TV provider which is used my many if not most hotels (especially the chain ones). So where ever hotel Daniil (and later revealed...Coco Gauff) are staying at are Spectrum customers. So no ESPN. I have Spectrum for Internet only and KZbin TV for TV service so I am fine. My friend have DirecTV (satellite TV) so they are fine as well.

It would be nice if the few bad apples in the crowd could show some gratitude that they are able to see live matches (many never have that opportunity) and be respectful towards the players whether they are cheering for them or not. Also, I am pleased that Meddy brought up TV coverage. It's frustrating...so expensive and a lot of greed in the industry.

Its actually annoying that we can't watch all regular tennis matches on national TV channels due to regulations or taxes whatever... Always need to look for any "illegal" streams online..
