There are many Greeks in Australia that is why, especially Melbourne, traditionally they have been saying it is the third biggest Greek city in the world after Athens and Thessaloniki. About the two, Tsitsipas definitely has an emotional block since the first match and the incident, although the two are great players anyway, it is just an extra. Some people talk about tiredness after the turnaround of Nadal match but I dont agree with that, mostly I agree on Medvedev having elements in his play that are tough for Tsip and added to that, there is an emotional block since the incident which makes Tsitsipas have an extra hurdle, but is up to him to overcome it. Overall, I consider the two the most prepared players of next gen mentally at the moment, with Med little more calm and focused at the moment.

@SP Nonsense they prefer attacking tennis - Federer, Thiem etc - over boring (as they see it) baseline grinding tennis as played by Djokovic. It's nothing against Djokovic himself, it's his grinding style of play they don't warm to. It's the tennis equivalent to Italian football: it's successful, it works, it brings trophies, but generally it's not great to watch someone grinding their way to victory. They liked Ivanisevic and Mario Ancic, for example, because they played attacking, entertaining tennis.

Medvedev really has Tsitsipas's number. I think part of it is because Tistipas doesn't actually have so much variety off the ground - primarily, he doesn't possess a top class slice backhand. Many of the other players who are successful against Medvedev use low slice shots to make Medvedev bend and stretch, mix up the pace and get him out of his comfort zone. As it is, Tsitsipas gives Medvedev a regular rhythm and bounce that he loves.

In my opinion, except for Djokovic, no backhand is even close to Medvedev's one.

Federer had the best backhand ever. Stan the man comes second. End of the story

@@kagm5921 I know we're talking men's tennis, but Justine Henin had the best backhand I've ever seen.(Lendl had a tremendous backhand too, and Becker could hit some great backhand winners; Agassi of course had a great two-handed backhand, but I've always preferred the classical one-handed backhand.)

@@martydav9475 yes ledl had amazing and powerful one hand backhand, but i prefer Federer's because he rarely made faulses on that play

Medvedev can beat Djoko with that shots and smart play.

Yes, but will nerves get to him? Will he learn from the Nadal experience in 2019? Let's hope his tennis IQ adapts!

One thing is sure, a winning streak would end tomorrow. Djokovic never lost in a final in Melbourne; Medvedev is in a 20 match winning streak. Can't really tell what's gonna happen..

Даниилу удачи в финале , быть таким же хладнокровным и уверенным, против Джоковича будет матч непростым. Надеемся и верим в победу.
