It makes me uncomfortable when Dani says things look "too DIY" in a disparaging way. I get what she's saying, like unfinished or poorly done, but so much of her brand is based on DIY project, so it's weird to hear that come out as an insult when there are things in this very apartment that are DIY. DIY can look good without having to eschew its very own label! Also, while sanding wood indoors is definitely not good to breathe in, liquid sanding product has its own issues with off gassing chemicals, so i hope there was still ventilation happening for everyone around it as well. That being said, i love how everything is looking! The decision to split the cabinets up in different colors definitely makes the kitchen look more sophisticated than if each door had one color each.
