I saw some people commenting about my house being too small for a cat, so I just want to say: 1) I've already moved to a much larger place, 2) I did and still do take her out for walks often, 3) She also had vertical space, being able to climb between the first floor, the stairs, the loft, and above the cabinets. I know it wasn't ideal for her, but I think it was better than her freezing outside. I do my best to do what's best for my kitty and she didn't show any signs of being too cramped in there, especially because she does get taken out for walks. 💗

Love videos like these that show real homes!! Lived in, loved homes ~ and its NOT "too" small for a cat, there are smaller in poorer countries and we try our best for ourselves and our pets - better housed and cared for with food shelter and vet care in a smaller space than unkept and in danger on the roads

The skylight let’s in a lot of heat especially during the summer. Also, since heat rises I could see why the loft doesn’t really cool off. I do like your home! I think its a pretty well thought out space. And it seems like you can actually stand up in your loft which doesn’t seem to be a thing in Korean loft apartments.

Back in the 70s I lived in South Korea and our house didn't have a bathroom. We had an outhouse. If you wanted to take a proper hot shower or bath, you'd have to go to town and pay to use the public bath house. I live in America now, and when I talk about having lived in a house without a bathroom, most Americans are pretty freaked out about that. But back then, that was really common. At least where we lived. The house wasn't even set up for any kind of plumbing/running water.

Very cute and functional/cozy apartment. Good for you! And your cat is absolutely beautiful. I've never seen a pure solid white cat!!!! Gorgeous! Suggestions from an ole lady who lived in a studio apartment for years. Go through weekly and begin to toss those things that you really don't need to have around anymore. Or put in box and slide under the bed. Keeps things simple and uncluttered.....which keeps the mind clear. Good luck with your life there.

Oh I love it. It’s a fantastic place given it’s so close to the all the amenities and in a big city. I’d be happy living there and my cat would have adored it. She was a nervous wee thing and spent most of the time on my bed so would have been the perfect size for her to not feel scared something was lurking in the shadows.

Maybe that skylight can be cracked open to let the warm air during summertime? That much space is actually a luxury in city centers in Asia, atleast in the country I live in. I used to live in a similar layout for a few weeks but quickly got tired of it(because the bathroom was upstairs).

@@ailianr there also needs to be a source downstairs that pulls cool air in creating sort of a cross breeze. But it really doesn't help much when the temps get too high. Congrats on your move, hopefully that issue isn't in your new place.

This is a very nice apartment. The space is useable. Its actually bigger than my apartment in Boston 😂. Its also nice that there are steps to the loft and not a ladder. ❤

I see many possibilities for adding storage. Wire racks fit in many spaces to gain height over counters and under counters. I live in a small apartment and solved storage problems easily with utilizing space above counters.

Toilet bowl. There are screws at the bottom. You just have to tighten it so the seat doesn't move about. Cheers~

And you are a lovely person I injoyed this video so much.❤ I have a hack for your bathroom door's squeeky sound, use some vasiline in the hinges and move it a little until it goes in between the metal. Use a generause amount so it can slip inside well. This works pretty well I use it on doors and it lasts for years.

it's a midea brand rice cooker that i got on taobao, if you're outside of china, i'm not sure if there are places that sell it, but the price is pretty reasonable (i paid 100rmb / about 15usd)

In most European countries it's more of a luxury to have a drier. We often have a separate space with all the equipment , called a "drying room", where we get to dry our stuff for free. In some European countries apartments are almost always included a drying room + washing room, so you get your washing + drying done for free. Also, not a criticism, but that's a very basic/standard home size. So I personally would definitely not call it tiny😅

5500 yuan a month for a whole unit in central Beijing I think it’s very fair price lol I like to watch beijing hutong house tours, I stayed in a hotel inside a hutong when I visited. It was pretty cool and the amount of public toilet there was shocking lol

I had an air conditioner above the front door, and most apartments do (the ACs here do both heating and cooling), a lot of apartments (especially older ones) will have central heating

Put some shelves up then you'd have some more storage and I know some landlord say you can't put holes in the walls that are shelves now that hold up by like tape for something
