I was born in 1971 and remember these classic riffs on the local radio station (no, Sirius XM did not exist) growing up as a kid. Then I spent the 80’s rocking out to the guitar heroes of the day...Rhoads, Van Halen, Lynch,etc.,...it was a great time to be alive!! Unfortunately I doubt we will ever see such a time again in the Rock world...I hope I’m wrong.

According to the singer of Rammstein - The only thing I can say is that I don’t want to start a band these days. It’s quite impossible to live off of it. The record companies don’t give you a chance, like in the old days when they went, ‘Here’s a pile of money - go make a good record.’ We’re never going see bands like Led Zeppelin or Black Sabbath again. I'm a great 70s fan. But the 80s totally won my heart over. So, in my opinion, it's the 80s.

I usually listen to more thrash metal, I don't listen to much classic rock or hard rock, so it's more 80s for me

Late 60s and 70s were the high water mark for rock music, not that a lot of 80s music wasn't great. Van Halen and Randy Rhoads and Guns n' Roses' first album were all fantastic.
