I'd never heard of her but got a CD of her music from Japan. Her singing is positively gorgeous and the production on the CD is as good as I've heard. I'd assumed that she had a gunslinger studio guitarist playing solos. Nope! It's all her. She's so talented and has so much soul! Why does the tiny UK produce so many world class musicians? There are literally thousands of uplifting blues songs; Got my Mojo Working, My Babe, Everything's Gonna Be Alright, are just a few well known ones that come to mind. Early blues was often comical or raunchy. Do you honestly think someone like BB King, Muddy Waters or John Lee Hooker and their band members never had any fun while playing their music?! Often it is about escaping from the hard times, it doesn't all have to be about dwelling on them.

The whole point is that Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, BB king have got there because of the quality of performance this lacks the end product.
