Yesss exactly, we are constantly evolving and learning. It’s impossible to be one “true self” since to other’s perspective we’re copying others, when in reality we are complex creatures which are influenced by a vast diverse range of sources. We do not live in solitary confinement, we are social beings that do things.

😂 Love your content, Dan. I isolated myself for ~6 years. I isolated myself because I became self-aware; I was finally honest with myself, and a flood of insecurity destroyed my sense of self. I used those 6 years to learn everything I could about myself. Why do humans do the things they do? What is spirit? Why is religion a superpower in this world? What is God? It was when I re-integrated back into society that I truly tested myself. The battleground where your understanding comes to play is when you connect with others. It's also where I regained my confidence by seeing my understanding flourish.

I agree with most of what you say in this video. I have realised that I am solely responsible for my own well-being and mental health, and that has freed me from the weight of the burden of other people's opinions. I love being by myself because I am at my most productive and creative then. Only when I confront myself, I grow as a person. I treat life as a game now, where every day I need to score a little bit better than I did yesterday. It's fun and challenging, and I'd rather be by myself and be a little better everyday, than be around people and stagnate 💕

Another reason why we can never truly be ourselves, because our brains are always self-monitoring. We pay way more attention to how others come across and adjust our presentation and behavior based on the circumstances. You’ll never meet the same person twice sadly.

I am also a very visual learner, and you are one of the few people who are able to explain this in a diagram which is far more effective for me than anything else. I think this is why travelling for 6 months away from anyone who ever knew you is incredibly powerful. You ditch potential paradigms that are not you and embrace new ones or potentially old ones that you had buried due to conditioning. I even take it a step further and think back to how I was when I wa sa child before conditioning then I work from there.

Beautifully said. This video came to me at the right time. I'm seventeen, and I have about a week left until I can apply to university/college. I want to take a break. I want to unlearn the path of becoming a slave. I feel lost, I've been thinking about how I don't like the systems in which we live in. It's not soul fulfilling. I want to free myself from these programs, I don't know where to start but I am trying. I really appreciate the things you are bringing up, especially with the spiritual aspect (I think in the same way when you said at the beginning " to have an open mind towards the the spiritual way of saying these things and not writing it off as like hippie or new age", you organized it so perfectly, I am always afraid of being labeled like that.) I laughed at that analogy of the room with friends and social media, made my day haha!

"I think everyone just wants to feel understood; for their soul to be sanctioned in the safety of acceptance. But why? Don’t they see how infinite the world is? What is an ant to matter in a pool of magma? Does that answer even matter? Wouldn’t it solve that endless mystery to our miscellaneous existence? These are questions that may define one’s reality, and to obey such knowledge shall lead one down the narrow path. Let me ask you this: in the endless war of water against rock, who wins? I think canyons would know.." I wrote this in February 2016... you reminded me instantly of it when you said "neural networks are carved out in your brain like the Grand Canyon with flowing water..." and I didn't remember what my message was until I pulled it up to paste it here. man, you've been really breaking my coefficient of static friction 💨💨 thank you 🙏

I never had the chance to practice or really discover my self For the sake of my survival I had to sacrife that I kept bottling up my emotioms I don't even know how many nights I spent crying in silence I got used to hiding myself and being invisible, It got to a point I started experiencing derealisation Because I was always Alone When I felt helpless, when I felt hurt, afraid or genuenly happy everything.. It wasn't the obvious for me that I could just share that and expect to receive comfort no..in fact the opposite so mostly kept everything to myself I understood its what I should do But the more you keep things to yourself, your doubts, your fears, your emotions, your thoughts... The more you lose yourself And one day you look in the mirror and you realize how empty you really are, You realize what you've been doing all this time You realize you've might lost yourself forever and ll just have to live with the pain for the rest of your life The pain of being the killer of your unborn self and the pain of knowing youre not the real you every time you wake up and might never will be I didn't chose to become numb I didn't chose to be this person

I think you can be yourself but not around others. It’s not really fair to be yourself around others. I think being yourself is feeling authentic emotion and thinking authentic insights in the moment and that’s not what the other person needs depending on what I feel or what I’m thinking. With other people you have to be “authentic enough” so the relational field between you is “positive enough.” Without other people you can’t individuate. You can’t help them and they can’t help you see, think, feel and experience in different ways. You just recycle your past and it gets stale.

if we didn't have phones, or at least the internet, then we would be subjected to a life of (almost predetermined) conditioning with barely any chance of seeing the world from radically different perspectives. Social media can enable us to take the power into our own evolution by giving any of us a viable channel to express ourselves with. Previously, when televised media was the standard, the only things we could watch were being broadcasted on select channels, with other channels even at a premium, yet still no control over the content. Now, I can constantly challenge the stimuli I'm presented with against countless different views to gain alternative perspectives and see how they resonate with my own inner truths

It's good to see someone cut through the ways some of these "emergent paradigm" resources are often misused or lack clarity and just rehashed into shit by other content creators. The qualify of content in most places is so low where a relaitvely common sense quote by some Twitter user or current "spiritual" guru is seen as wisdom. I think the outer dissolution in the world is creating this hunger for structure and meaning among the debree.

This is so important. If a person watches influencers everyday all day and I can speak for myself, it really does distort your ability to make up your own mind about life. Don't get me wrong, it really is good to follow people that share the same values as you and gain inspiration, thought provoking ideas, and to challenge ones thinking. But if one depends on an influencer to make their mind up, then that's not good. All and all this is good stuff you are putting out there Dan!

This may be a lot for "a youtube comment" but what the hell. I found you not long ago, searching for the next "Level Up" in my life. Ten years ago I was in prison and coming to the end of a decade of hard drug abuse/use. I studied Dr. Joe dispenza , got into meditation and went underground down every "rabbit hole" there is. From Quantum Physics, ancient knowledge, astrology , sacred geometry etc etc etc. I have been drug free for 8 years and in those eight years built my entire life back to something worth living. I know that life works similar to a simulation and that what we take aim at we get. That being said, another man named Dan came into my reality from youtube 8 years ago and was like a virtual "father figure" to me. Now with everything you do per the creator economy (what i've been seeking) You also are Dan. Just funny how it all works. I'm grateful for you man. Purity through karmic understanding is something you have found. humanity needs your precious jewels of priceless wisdom so they can help confirm the messages they are receiving through coincidences and cosmic clues that indeed there soul has led them wisely to the truth. Truth is felt because it has a vibrational frequency pattern that is recognized easily when one becomes or embodies the truth and trains the mind to find alternatives to lying and creating false realities they themselves did not actually experience there for is not in the mind as a memory. One can also sense the vibrations of factual occurances being recalled by another vs the energetic signatures one creates around himself when he is creating from imagination or memorized script. One can even sense the vibrations of false information before it is even thought up by the thinker intending to stear your mind away from the areas that make them uncomfortable to focus on. I learned there is an entire hidden world of truth and hidden information you can unlock the door to by doing all you can to speak truthful words only. The thing moms used to say about not saying anything if you don't have anything nice has more power than we could of ever known. Don't say words that can harm you or others. It made me more gentle with delicate information that is uncomfortable to share. Tell others of thier negative traits as you yourself would want to be informed of something others didn't like about you. Kindly and gently. Calmly and with compassion

I really agree with that part about persons unconscious sending resources to the conscious aligned with who they really are. I love writing fiction, and sometimes when I'm brainstorming ideas, there comes an idea that just speaks so true to who I am and connects so perfectly into the place of the story I intend for it, it almost feels like magic. I've always assumed, that this was an element of my unconscious coming to the surface, one that I am not as aware of as I would think, however, it's only upon close inspection of various things that define me, that ill realize where that idea may have been introduced into my unconscious.

HIGHLY recommend everybody who watched this curate their feed. What do I mean? Select "not interested and "Don't recommend channel" to any content that is not focused on clarity, skills or people you want to LIVE like. Less politics, less programming, less BS. More content which encourages you like Dan Koe's Or install an extension that hides YT extensions so you HAVE to SEARCH for the content you want to view. Such a good thing to do. Gives you more control over what is being programmed to you.

I Don't believe it takes years to reinvent yourself. It may depend on your age, but just as muscle memory is, if you gained 20 pounds of muscle in 3 years time then take a year off and lose that mass, you'll gain it back in a fraction of the time once you return. Our body and mind recognize pattern very easily. Just have to create the good habit's and kill the bad ones. you can have a healthy mind with an unhealthy body, but it takes more energy, get a healthy body, workout eat less processed foods and sugars, this will already get you halfway there to a healthy mind.

Society more than judges you. The judging party are somehow automatically in the right and you are expected to reflect on yourself and change without question. Absolutely no exceptions. Anything other than that is considered being "defensive" at best or in worse cases a narcissist who refuses to accept responsibility and weren't "self-aware". It's ALWAYS your fault.

There have been many times that i m conscious about my unconscious way of living.I think why did i do that i don't even agree with that,or why i keep thinking of sth even though i know its false. Its kind of eerie when you realise that you lost control of who you are.And its hard to be yourself in a world that wants order

The walking tip is something I'm doing lately as well. I used to not like to walk (well, to say that I didn't like to walk), but I don't remember where that came from. Probably from being forced to do it, or to preferring cars and riding even as a passenger in cars. But lately I've been walking a bit and I enjoy it and it does have this "alone time" effect that I can't get even when alone in my room (because I'm not really alone, social Media is there on my many screens, and family is on other rooms in the house). I think in my particular case I probably ought to spend more time with other people and cultivate relationships instead of taking more numerical time to myself but you do have a point in that i probably ought to take more real alone time for myself instead of these half-alone half-connected life of scrolling

Conflict and resolution is the source of Everything. The very first conflict, is still ongoing. That's the conflict between the expansion(unconsciousness) of the universe, from 'The Big Bang', and the contraction or condensation of the universe from gravity (consciousness). Everything that the universe holds, is held in tension. Tension is probably the source of all energy.

I’ve been working out since I was in high school, pretty big and haven’t taken PEDs. I don’t put up crazy numbers in conventional lifts like SBD but I’m pretty strong in calisthenics/curls. Have been thinking of starting a fitness KZbin channel for awhile but just don’t pull the trigger due to feeling like no one would watch

The Hawkin's Scale is a beautiful rendering of the different "baseline stages" we can have, from shame to enlightenment, it's useful to give clarity to where our baseline is compared to what's basically possible. Some call this baseline stage our "core vibration" and, as you're saying that we can have different temporal states, our vibration can be anywhere on the scale at any time while our "core vibration" remains as that consistent baseline stage. Raising our core vibration is moving our baseline up. For me, a practice that gives me significant results is the practice of gratitude. Comparing my approach with yours, it seems like the "practice of gratitude" is the process of becoming aware with an intention to expand

Your final bit of advice about watching the way our egos respond to what we see on social - the story our egos weave and the way we force-fit everything to fit our existing mental model is VERY interesting. Would love to hear you talk more about that sometime. How do you gain the awareness to see this happening? Seems automatic.

Even those who are not "the masses," being yourself also doesn't exist because like 95% of who we are is learned behavior. It's better advice to say, BE WHO YOU GENUINELY WANT TO BE.
