So you don't sell something people need and therefore they would naturally come to you because you have the skill to create it. You sell your "thoughts" and ideas, visions and workout plans by persuading people that they need them. Sounds kind if like a scam.

Very interesting Agency I was pondering this myself particularly as per education Very well explained here Frankly it sounds like mentoring education It seems in the elite schools in Britain students were mentored Of course this was elite schooling and the number of students was few Most people attend what I call “factory schools” Maybe expensive private schools are mentor based?

Where does "society" fit into the notion of anarcho capitalism. How do you build a world when everybody has the freedom to choose? Most people benefit from a society based on individual sacrifices. "Sacrifice" there's a word not much spoken about in the modern world. We only talk about our individual freedoms. Here's the rub. For people to have individual freedoms many millions of people are having to sacrifice or give up their own. That's how we build societies whether we like it or not. The kind of society we wish to live in is another story. How many sacrifices are we prepared to make?

Why? Don't you simply say that humans can live in the moment and A.I. has to recalculate the outcome to re-adjust to defend or advance to achieve its programmed objective 🦾 and humans were in the moment 🌎 of evolution, evolving! You're right! Intelligence is not important.. listening & spontaneously on a point 📐 can make a big difference. Just catch the wave 🌀🎺📢👍🏾 it's all a cycle!!

Also I understand the only form of content he's recommending is tweeting and reposting an image of your tweet, so no photos? no videos? no graphics? just writing? does that really grab peoples attention?

I just listened to the first 10 minutes of this video about education and feel the need to respond. While I agree with Devon’s points about the importance of teaching children how to learn - there’s no argument there - the claim that this isn’t taught in Western schools is simply not true. Transferable skills and agency are integral to the education system, especially during adolescence, where students are given plenty of opportunities to develop these attributes. To suggest that schools are only ‘training’ students to serve the wealthy perpetuates a misleading narrative. Frankly, it’s nonsense. But, of course, that kind of rhetoric will make you popular with the masses-good luck selling your sci-fi book.

Skill is just a small subsection of what's important. It's true that you have to work on yourself but it's more about your whole being ready to receive the progress, which is a paradigm shift (thank you Bob Proctor) :)

If we change the education system we get different kinds of people in society. We can take almost nothing for granted with kids. If we don't teach them about history they will be ignorant about history. There are some fundamental aspects of living in society which we cant stop teaching kids about. I don't think we as adults need to teach our kids about AI, they will already get it much better than we do. Just look at how better younger people are at technology now than boomers.

Great video-really enjoyed all the points about learning and government! However, the 12:07-12:25 statement suggesting intelligence is fixed and chemically determined seems to run counter to ideas from Bernardo Kastrup and Donald Hoffman (and possibly Sam Parnia). They argue that consciousness and cognition aren’t necessarily confined by biological determinism, which is definitely worth more discussion! By way of example, Devon Erikson’s assertion that intelligence is a physical‐chemical feature of the brain, set early in development, is contentious. Philosophers like Kastrup and Hoffman challenge this reductionist view, proposing that consciousness is fundamental rather than simply a product of neural activity. Kastrup’s “Analytic Idealism” sees reality as essentially mental, suggesting our physical brain is an image of deeper conscious processes-not their origin. This implies intelligence and consciousness extend beyond purely material structures. Hoffman’s “Conscious Realism” posits that our perceptions function like a user interface, evolved for survival instead of depicting reality “as is.” According to Hoffman, brains and space‐time themselves are constructs of conscious agents. This challenges the notion that intelligence must be solely chemical or neurological. Recent findings also cast doubt on rigid physicalism: The 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics recognized research on entangled photons, highlighting non‐locality and interconnectedness-phenomena at odds with a purely classical, mechanistic picture. In the AWARE II study, Sam Parnia’s team explores consciousness during cardiac arrest, raising questions about how much conscious experience depends on normal brain function. In short, contemporary research and philosophical perspectives push beyond the idea that intelligence is merely a fixed, physical feature of the brain. For more on this, check out: When AI Becomes Conscious: Bernardo Kastrup, Donald Hoffman, Susan Schneider (KZbin video ID: VmQXpKyUh4g) And here are some newer publications that delve into these themes: Sam Parnia Lucid Dying (2024): Blends new research and personal experiences, addressing profound questions around existence and awareness. Bernardo Kastrup The Phantom World Hypothesis of NDEs/OBEs (2024): Explores near-death and out-of-body experiences from his idealist perspective. Donald Hoffman The Case Against Reality (2019): Lays out his “interface theory” of perception. Spacetime Is Doomed: Time Is an Artifact (2023): Proposes that time emerges from deeper structures, rather than existing fundamentally. Nima Arkani-Hamed All Loop Scattering For All Multiplicity (2024): Introduces a new formalism for scattering amplitudes in quantum field theory, with implications for the nature of reality (though not directly about consciousness). All of these works spark valuable debate over how consciousness and intelligence fit into our understanding of reality. I’d love to see this channel and Devon Erikson explore these perspectives further!
