Four words that tells you why she's one of a kind in show business. There may be better vocal performers, there may be better dancers, there may be better musicians, composers, lyricists than her..... But no one delivers such smart, ironic , sarcastic, unapologetic lines this fast in a interview, on nation wide TV.... Long Live the Queen!

@Denis Ambrozhevichyus It must the others that never had the courage to be as impactful as Madonna or the ones that cricized Madonna but then copied her as Janet Jackson's The Velvet Rope copying Erotica
@MrJuly1990ish3 жыл бұрын
@Denis Ambrozhevichyus Well, I would say Prince was the male version of her or vice versa. Don't get it twisted, I'm a fan of both artist, I'm just saying, being a teenager (Gen X) in the "80s" I notice both Madonna and Prince took chances, didn't give a f%ck and change the game in the music industry in general. In other words like someone has already stated, they were "political and unapologetic" in making a statement in their music, when during the President Regan/conservative area, it was unpopular or consider very controversial for an artist to do so. I give props to both legends, Madonna and Prince who stayed true to themselves, didn't compromise their art, gave the middle finger to the so-called "Conservative Movement" in the 80s, saw through the movement's BS and hypocrisy.

The key factor here is that she truly believes in everything she is saying. She gives an eloquent, passionate response to every question because she is speaking from the heart. There's nothing phoney about it. She was able to stand by her art and defend it articulately because it was authentic. She has always been a pioneer, to this day. When Katy and Gaga and Miley are still rocking out in their 60s they'll be able to express their own sexuality freely, with minimal flack from the public because by then it will be normalised. And they can thank Madonna for enduring the ageism and misogyny she's having to face every day, so that the next generation will have it easier. Bless the Madonna 🙇♂️

This was in a time, was censorship was very heavy in the 90s, yet Madonna still pushed down walls for female artists, she has been been denigrated in the 80s,90s,2000, and 2010, yet she still carried on, the great thing about this, is that she released this, and it was the first ever video single released, again, another first by Madonna

What I love most about this is that she doesn't back up ONCE. She has so much certainty and belief on what she is saying, the "responsible" part is my favourite, when the guy implies that people think she is irresponsible for "having sex in front of children" and then she states FACTS! She indeed deals with sexuality a lot, but promotes safe sex, only show consensual sex, talks about birth control, etc. Is not just sex for sex, is information, she IS responsible. But in the end kids are PARENTS' responsabilities. She is not pushing boundaries just to push them, she wants children to have conversations with parents and honestly, this couldn't be more current. Nowadays there's such a fuss about sexual education and how parents are responsible for talking about sex with their sons and daughters, BUT THEY DON'T! IT'S STILL A TABOO! So having a gateway to this conversation could be easier. OMG how much I love this woman....... She is so smart and so special. Trying to break a lot of current taboos 30 years ago...
