These are actually the Mountain Light, not the Light II. Your label says 30866. The Light II model is 30800 (brown) and 30860 (black). If I'm not mistaken, these are made of a thicker leather than the II's and will weigh a little bit more. FYI.

Heck yeah! Nice looking boots. The last few boots I've had used the lighter colored tread. I like the black tread on these. Plus, made in USA. Very nice!

Sorry late to the party, but I'm curious abut the sizing. What size do you wear in a sneaker? I wear a 13 in a sneaker, but in nearly all boots I wear a 12. How is the fit? I'm afraid to buy online.

They're wide so you will probably down size as you do. Thanks for the response.

Which do you like better between these and the baurers? For a $200-$300 price difference I have to know why
@Toyotas_n__Tools Жыл бұрын
I prefer the baurers, they fit better and I they held up a lot more than the danners. The only issue with mine is I had to fix the pull loop after 2 years.

Hi, I'll be traveling to Southeast Asia. Now, I've been there many times and usually wear "low top" boots. These Danner ML II, at 5", seem very intriguing to wear in hot temps. Would you agree that walking in these boots won't fry my feet in 90+F with high humidity? Growing up outside of Seattle, I'm not sure whether you, outside of Portland, have experience hot/humid temps in these boots.

I have plenty of these Danner Boots / Gortex as well. Honestly the tread on these have lasted. The leather has done well, as well as the hardware. BUT I'm telling you fellas (I do work in these boots and keep active) Danner to me is just a brand to be paid for. My experience is before a year expires the gortex has gone desolate. My sox are getting soaked, especially in the snow. This is my experience from several pairs of their gortex boots. It was around the 10 month mark and on. I may have really high expectations, which I do, especially when fellas are paying $350 - $400 dollars for a pair of boots. They look good though.

Absolutely, I wear boots in all weather even 100+ degrees and the only thing that I do differently from season to season is change the type of socks I wear. Another thing none of my boots have an odor to them, like a sneaker would.

I bought a pair of these boots and have to say that despite their high-quality construction they're way too uncomfortable and that is a big deal-breaker. I don't know what dumbasses at the R&D department of Danner were thinking when they decided that this boot didn't "need" to be used with insoles. Yes they do need insoles despite what the representatives at Danner claim. They're way too painful to be used without them and if you decide to slip some insoles into the boots, they become too uncomfortable at the top of your feet.

I wear my mountain lights as my hiking boots and clean them frequently to wear as nice town boots. I love the way the foot bed feels with no insert or insole. Have you worn them 50 or so miles yet? They took me forever to break in but are so comfy now.
@Baron-nv1ez Жыл бұрын
@@arnoldgrabski6436 I have Plantar Fasciitis so I'm forced to use footwear with the ability to change the insoles in order to be able and put my own personal insoles in created specifically for people with Plantar Fasciitis and also I'm, flat-footed. These two reasons are why I need to wear footwear that has the ability for removable insoles.

Yes go half size down, if you can find a dealer nearby try on the 9 and then 9.5. Also make sure the dealer carries the particular model before just going to any boot shop that says they have Danners.
