Is a new bed frame for you & Ian in the budget? I’d recommend picking up a storage bed (you can get one with 2-3 drawers on each side) for your folded stuff and then hang everything else (pants. Shirts, etc.). It seems like a lot of things are out-of-sight-out-of-mind for you, and I think this will help. We picked up one from IKEA for my daughter and we were able to ditch her dresser completely.

Consider creating out-of-season clothes storage wardrobes/cupboards for coats/boots/shoes in the basement along the long wall by the laundry area. There could be a cupboard for your husband's work clothes too. Then create everyday coat/shoe/storage in your mudroom. Move those items out of the front hall cupboard -- and create a good linen storage there. In your bedroom - shift the dresser in your cupboard slightly to the right -- and add several small shelves going up the left-hand corner. Consider switching to small nightstands with drawers to stash small items like undies. Add small lamps that attach to the wall and then plug-in above them. Hope this helps -- and I'm hoping to see some outdoor organizing and decor this year too!

I don’t know if you saw my comment on a video from about a month ago but I had suggested that maybe your bed would fit into your closet. Then you could add little shelves or small custom tables on either side where the closet goes past the opening. The tv could then be mounted on the wall across if there is room with the window. And then you could find something to place along that wall under the tv for your clothes. Just an idea not sure any of it would work out size wise. Thank you for telling about the new bed I had been looking at the same one for my daughter earlier this week. The storage in the headboard and the under bed light I liked. As always I enjoyed the video and thank you for all the work you put into sharing videos with us.

I’ve watched for quite a while and have a lingering question. You have a big, beautiful closet in your room-have you considered mounting the tv on a pull down mount on a wall or above the closet or a pull down from the ceiling so you can use your closet for clothes-with rods and shelves so no need for the dresser? You could gain a ton of usage.😁👍👍👍 I had never seen the pull down mounts until 2 weeks ago at a friend’s house and it would be perfect for this space. 😁

I store my out of season clothes in my luggage, which can be stashed elsewhere. Buy a bed with drawers built in when you redo your room. I am planning to do that and cannot wait! Good luck!

I can't recall if you have ever covered this but for the bedroom, how often do you and Ian actually watch TV in your bedroom? In our house, the bedroom is a tv free zone. If you don't have to worry about where to put a tv, you'll gain a lot of space. The suggestions from folks about getting a bed frame with built-in storage are also good.

I have a closet like yours where its shallow and has the weird side pockets. If you plan to mount your tv, I would suggest doing a "tall boy" dresser in the middle, having shelves on one side and then you can attach a rod to the dresser and wall on the other (for hanging items) and then above it all have one shelf you can reach to put bulky things and out of season tubs (LABELED LOL). And a tub for your blazer too haha

Have you seen the IKEA shoe storage? It attaches to the wall and they have a little area to set things on. Every time I see your room, I think of it, I think it would give you a place for the shoes and a side table too. Just a thought I had.

Idea for your extra clothes you don’t wear often- if you relocate the items on the top shelf of your coat closet (photo albums?), you can get a few tall bins to put your clothes in and keep them in that closet. That shelf has some space to the ceiling that’s not being used. You could stack plastic bins on top of each other or maybe even add another shelf up there. One more DIY idea would be to switch out that existing shelf for a deeper shelf and you’d be able to store even more items in that closet. (Are his shirts “business casual?” 😂)

Danni, I love your videos! Just a thought with the cabin stuff, store all the cabin items that go back and forth in a large bin. It would keep it all together and make it easy to grab and transport in the spring. Then you could store it in the basement in the off months so it doesn’t take up valuable space in your bedroom.

Hello Danni. I think once you move your TV and dresser out of your closet, you will have plenty of space for your clothes. I live in old 1940's home with closets that are 1/4 of your size, so I have to be creative. Amazon sells a rod that you can hang from your existing rod, which allows you to hang double the clothes. They also sell portable free-standing wardrobe (that you can assemble in your basement) to hang all of your formal clothes (it zips up to protect from dust and creepy crawlers). I use my nightstands for undergarments. I store my seasonal clothes under the bed in roll out under the bed storage containers. Perhaps get two skinny bookshelves for either side of your bed and use baskets to store some of your things?? Anyhow, how you're feeling better, always great to see you smiling face.

As soon as you started packing clothes away, I thought that you and Ian were going to forget you even had them... outta sight, outta mind. I think you could really benefit from a hanging rod across your closet. If the TV is a must have in your room, maybe you could mount it higher up on the wall and have a rod across the lower half of the closet. There would be room for shelves on either side of the TV for baskets containing socks and underwear and that sort of thing. If you really want a dresser for those things, you could get rid of the one you have and put a tallboy dresser or cube shelving just outside your ensuite bathroom.

For leather and stainless steel cleaner, you could try the Weiman brand. It has a cleaner for pretty much everything. I don't use them personally but my clients do and request that I use them instead of my company's cleaners lol.

You could try to get rid of the big dresser. Put alot of your clothes on hangers in the closet. Then, you can add a small chest of drawers and hang a curtain as a closet door,. For my stainless appliances, I just wipe down weekly with a damp microfiber cloth and dry with another cloth. All of the stainless cleaners I tried were too greasy. A damp cloth followed by drying shines it up fine.

The camera definitely wobbled a tiny bit. I don’t know that I believe in it but it might be worth burning sage. 😬🤣 I know your room has limited options. I think you need a tall slim chest of drawers that can go by the door. To maximize use of the closet, I’d replace those shelves in the corner with… how to make this make sense… instead of installed on the back wall with space in front - installed on the inner side wall so the shelves fill the space back to front. It’s open shelving but uses three walls as barriers so you can roll the clothes and see what you have and not have to worry about them stacking straight/falling. I hope that makes sense.

Yep, it was moving. When my son was younger, he pointed in the living room and said Bobby. I have an uncle who died years he was born. He didn't know him, and I hadn't mentioned him to my son, talked about him, etc. I have no doubt that he saw him hanging out in our house. My daughter, a few years after that, has made motions, saying bye bye, talked off to the side as if she was talking to someone. No one else has been in that direction. I'm pretty sure he still randomly hangs out.

My daughter’s washing machine broke and her father in law repaired it. He took it apart and found 24 different socks inside of it. Great video today! You're not the only one with technical issues. I am not tech savvy either, but fortunately my husband knows how to fix all of my issues when they arise. I set off the security alarms in airports - no jewelry, no belt, no earrings etc. When we had a layover in France, they pulled me out for a pat down and she even checked my hair! (I hate France just because of my experience there) Ugh! My latest one is getting my microwave to acknowledge my finger. The darn thing is such a pain. I have to touch the numbers several times before I can get it to set. My husband does not have this problem - ever! I can't get the remote to work half the time or my cellphone. I'm not kidding! And it has always been a problem. I thought when I set off the security alarms in France that maybe I have a chip in me somewhere, because you can only get so naked before you're flashing people. My traveling days are likely over and that is probably a good thing. But I totally feel your pain. (and BTW, that camera most definitely moved!)

Danni, I don't know how prevalent earthquakes and tremors are in your area or neighbouring areas, but a small earthquake/ tremor might cause the camera to move slightly and if you're sensitive to feeling earthquakes you might feel like someone is watching you while there is some tremor going on. It might even explain some electrical issues. If the electric cables in your house are old, they too might be more sensitive to tremors, causing flickering lights and stuff. Doesn't explain the change in camera settings though... Anyway, I am in no way an expert in earthquakes or tremors, but still the first thing I thought about. Better to know if you're sensitive to tremors, causing feelings of fight/flight-mode, than thinking you got ghosts in your house, because you're 'jumpy' and 'feeling watched'. Although...a poltergeist makes for a better story... 😅❤

Hey girl, Im late to the party!! I know how much you despise your bedroom, so I do like the few suggestions Im seeing from others. If you could make tge four seasons room work, oh my goodness would that make the best makeover!! However if that just isn't in the cards for you I suggest doing something with your closet. Id definitely take out the tv and dresser. Hang the tv on the wall opposite of the closet. I think someone else suggested to put your bed in the closet, but if you could maybe find a bedframe that has storage in it. Then if possible hang your clothes on either side of the closet instead of the shelving. Youd make better use of the space. I also saw the camera move, Id definitely bless the house girl in Jesus name!!! Loved the motivation. Implan to do a little redecorating and reorganizing in my home as well.

You're killing me. Smalls. It kills me that you're not using your whole closet because the tv is taking up all the space. I say this with love. You can get your whole closet back if you get rid of your television and mount a projector screen. You can mount it on the inside front wall of your closet at the ceiling. When not in just retract it up and it's out of the way. If you wanna get really fancy, you could make it remote controlled. Actually, it's not that expensive. Please Lmk what you think. Love u tons. I also spring cleaned my living room this morning. Under my couch was worse than yours! How do our homes get so dirty? I clean everyday. Just livin the dream I guess. I would suggest taking the tv out of your closet so you can actually use it to store clothes. Maybe get a taller dresser instead of the longer one. As far as the clothes go, put seasonally stuff under the bed.

I see you going for the couches and I think, "It's sock yeeting time!" The last time I cleaned under the TV stand, we found almost 10 tennis balls and a herd of dust rhinos. Gus was a very happy boy. Cute curtain choice for her room and cute bed! I don't know why the camera was doing that tilt. It looked mechanical, like it was "ticking", if that makes sense. Like a gear wasn't smooth. Stabilization maybe, I don't know. On the zoom issue, does your camera have a timer function? I'm wondering if it zoomed in, tripped by a timer. Grasping at straws here. I'm with you. Take the dresser out of the room. Turn the closet back into a closet. All the clothes should fit in there just fine. You have it right, hang the TV. Look at closetmaid systems for closet ideas. You can get one with cubbies/drawers for undies, if you want. Remember to keep out a black outfit, just in case. You don't want to dig one out if there is a funeral. Packing away seasonal is great. Packing away too much leads to you forgetting it exists. If I fold anything, it's a beautiful store fold from my Disney Store days. I can't help my training. Almost everything else, I hang. That way things don't get lost/shoved in a drawer. That's not counting the pile of clean clothes that don't make it anywhere, lol! Great job, as always!

With the Screen, maybe your house is still angry with you, because you removed the carpet in zoe‘s room. 🤪 it gets weird, the AC unit breaks a while ago and than I remembered the water damage, now the screen. Your new glasses fits you great btw ☺️
