I love Danny Ainge! Edit to add: he deserves to be in the HOF. He helped lift the Celtics & was every bit a part of their success. To me he will always be a Celtic no matter which uniform he wore.

Danny was an extra-ordinary athlete in high school, college, pro baseball, triple crown winner, what else can say, look it up.

What an incredible athlete. In HS, he is still the only All-American in basketball, football and baseball... After he left College, he played in the MLB and the NBA! He was one of the most versatile athlete of the Century & developed a competitive spirit.

Ainge gave bird the ability to rest and he still held the team together. He also helped take the Suns to the final game.

In a game at BYU, they needed 2 to tie and three to win and the clock was winding down. Ainge got fouled, made his first, shot the second off the front of the rim, got his own rebound and put it in for the win. It was pretty sweet.

I think DA was the best guard in the '80s . He is a dedicated no holds barred when getting the ball and making plays. Unselfish and can score. If D. A. wasn't selfish he could easily score 25 to 35 points per game.
@gottadomor74382 жыл бұрын
W/ Bird AND McHale playing one b-ball on the court just wasn't enough. Ainge WAS necessary to keep 33 & 32's ego fed. Then you had DJ & Chief wanting theirs too ... BIG Danny Ainge me. Winner winner Buy Danny Ainge dinner ... And that full court behind the back NCCA buzzer beater HAS to br Top Ten All Time tournament moments too - and NEITHER Bird or McHale can claim that. Based.
