I once helped one drunk guy who bleckout on a barstool and started to fall down. Only think I maneged to do was put my foot right between his head before he hit the floor. I like to think it made sufficient cushion for him. There was no blood though... He stood up after severe look on my foot and gave me something like sour smile and sat back. It's more in bars that have comedians or live bands performing. Because the talent gets most of the money from the gate, the bar makes next to no money off the ticket sales. By having the two drink minimum the bar makes money off the event. It's the same way theaters and sports teams make their money from snack sales.

Well you don't have to make up new jokes if you don't want to, but don't go half-way. Just changing the nationality makes the joke seem forced or set-up. If he had just kept it as Scotland, I don't think people would care.
