What everybody got to realize is Danny Boy was a kid back then. He got famous singing hooks. Everybody who grew up in the 90s knew who he was. The dude on the hook with Pac. After Pac died and Suge got locked down his career pretty much vanished.

The original toss it up is on here. It doesnt have Pac second verse where he's dissin Dre which leads me to believe it was recorded while Dre was still with Death Row. Dre prolly lied to Pac nd told him he made the beat wen it was really done by Teddy Riley, he leaves Death Row with the beat, they put out no diggity nd send Death Row a cease nd disist letter, Pac responds by changin the beat nd adding a second verse dissin Dre, just my theory.
@generationsnowflake21838 жыл бұрын
o
@cwright29448 жыл бұрын
yup that's why the second verse the pissed off verse was added with the words cease and desist punk trick what a dumb move cross death row now who you gon' run to.. cause like Danny boy said they used the beat / one that was only a little different (more to the bass line) but they had to change it cause they received a cease and desist order to not use the beat.. Originally Dre. was not going to be dissed but disses were added to the end of songs cause when Dre left things were quiet or kept behind closed doors / private and just done on a "professional" level.. but once they tried to move on and things they were trying to do were blocked because of that and it's things they had to change and / or be postponed.. They got mad cause Dre was being a lil bitch at the time cause some of who he was got addressed and exposed to the label before it was aired out over the beats & in interviews..

Pac recorded all that material so fast because he only sign to death row to get outta jail believe it or not Pac was broke so he signed to death row he knew suge had the money to get him out pac aint have a million dollars to put up for bail. Remember his words every move is a calculated step. He owed them 3 albums suge aint expect pac to record 3 albums that fast thats why all eyes on me is a double disc. Pac had a purpose he realized he was making all the record lables rich instead of himself. His plan was to start his own label. I hate they took his life man i get emotional talking about pac he is truly the mike jackson in hip hop

He had that premonition that he was marked for death and didn't have much time left on this earth. Bein completely honest, I'm a white dude from the mountains of North Carolina and prior to 2pac I hated all rap and unfortunately was racist as a mf'er. But slowly after hearing a 2pac song I started opening my eyes and shedding that unfounded hatred in my heart. To this day I thank the person who introduced me to 2pac. I cried when Pac was shot, I cried when he died on the 13th, which coincidentally is my dad's birthday. GO BRONCOS!! SB50 CHAMPS!!

If you actually listen to this interview, Danny's story is inconsistent. He says........ - He was at the fight with Pac and Suge, and that he was present when they saw Orlando - Then he says, he was at the hotel and realised he had stains on his pants so he had to try and go to a mall. Suge and them left for the fight and by the time he called them, the fight was over so Suge said meet them at the club, so he went straight to the club to wait for them, but they obviously never showed.... Which one is it Nicca? Either you was at the MGM or you weren't?

Shit I didn't even know that, I knew that 2pac loved to take a person beat and destroy them with a diss on they own shit but I didn't know "Toss it up" was a Dre beat Lmao! 2pac was a savage!
@mrsain198 жыл бұрын
+Me Mr. Who? toss it up wasnt a dre beat fam. big shipp over at death row took the no diggity beat (which teddy riley produced) and flipped it for pac for toss it up. Dr. Dre was featured on No Diggity, but had no production credit. But that mattered none to Pac. Pac saw Dre on a project unrelated to Death Row fresh after Dre walked away from the Row......and Pac went in, in typical Pac fashion.
@MemrYou8 жыл бұрын
Darius Slaw DB just said that was a Dre beat lol.
@mrsain198 жыл бұрын
Me Mr. Who? Danny boy has said alot of things in this interview that doesnt exactly add up. I dont hold it against him, shit was 20 yrs ago. But no, beat was a teddy riley production. Dre was on no diggity for bars only.

How can you not know, that Dre already left Death Row when Pac got shot? Sometimes I think my little 20 year old cousin knows more about Hip Hop than Vlad. And where is the part he supposed to talk about Michell'e?
@C-Lyfe858 жыл бұрын
For the record, Teddy Riley & William "Skylz" Stewart produced "No Diggity". Get it right Vlad. Dre's only featured on that song. Blackstreet & Dre were label-mates, on Interscope Records. Dre barely produced tracks, on DeathRow. I hate when people claim Dre made "No Diggity". When the production style for "No Diggity" sounds nothing like Dre's.
@chrisbooker888 жыл бұрын
+Mr. Chevy Miller Nobody cares though, the song was featuring Dre(who was and is a mega superstar), so regardless of who produced it, Dre was the superstar on a track intended to be a hit single....so Tupac and Death Row wanted to humiliate Dre by stealing his perceived song, and dissing him before it even came out. BTW, Tupac dissed Teddy Riley too on the original unreleased Toss It Up(No Diggity beat).
@C-Lyfe858 жыл бұрын
Chris Booker Clearly, you cared enough to comment. Are people these days angry about truth? So you're saying Teddy Riley wasn't a "superstar"? Clearly Michael Jackson thought he was. No Diggity would've been a hit without Dre on that song. "Death Row wanted to humiliate Dre by stealing his perceived song" Yea, well for along time people thought No Diggity was a Deathrow beat, Dre took with him when he bounced. Not true Teddy produced that joint. But the real reality was William "Skylz" Stewart already had the drums & loop sample. Teddy just added a few piano stabs. So really, Teddy is the Co-Producer. Yea Deathrow was salty at Dre for being on a very, very successful song after leaving. But Dre is an afterthought on No Diggity. He had only a lousy 8 bars on that damn song. Without Blackstreet the song wouldn't be what it was.
