This rendition is great. It reminds me of the Leonard Warren rendition with all the somber dynamic changes. It really adds a pathos of melancholy that I think a lot of people miss when they sing this song. Sometimes people just belt it and it is not as impactful. Thank you for sharing this!

My oldest son is going to be singing this song to try out for a prestigious choir at his high school. He was asking me the other day about singing with the emotion of the song. I just sent him this video. John, your voice and Peter's playing perfectly capture it perfectly. It actually made my heart feel heavy with sadness. Thank you for sharing your gifts with the world.

Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling From glen to glen, and down the mountain side The summer's gone, and all the roses falling It's you, it's you must go and I must bide. But come ye back when summer's in the meadow Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow It's I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow [Live version:] And I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so. But when ye come, and all the flow'rs are dying If I am dead, as dead I well may be You'll come and find the place where I am lying And kneel and say an ave there for me. And I shall hear, though soft you tread above me And all my grave will warmer, sweeter be For you will bend and tell me that you love me And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me.

I had the pleasure to volunteer in a concert with those two guys today, July 9-2017. I was extremely impressed by their fantastic, unforgettable performens. They just brought out a CD, called "A silent night - A WWI memory in songs". It was the concert I have seen. If you like this video, you will love the CD. "Danny Boy" was the last song of the concert. I am now, five hours after the end of the concert, still very moved. Greetings from Canada and good luck you both during the competition in London and for your career in general.

Thank you John and Peter for this amazingly beautiful version of Danny Boy. I am burying my wonderful 94 yr old father tomorrow . He was a funeral director for 40 yrs of his life and the most dignified, compassionate and honest man, and father and grandfather and great grandfather ever. He was of irish descent and his favourite song was Danny boy. Your version will be played very loudly when his casket is lowered into the ground. I thank you again for your gift. ps his name was Hilary Barrymore O'Neill doesn't get much more irish than that

Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, te quiero tanto.

+John Brancy I just supported your Indiegogo page at the $35.00 level which includes the arrangement. I am a voice performance major with a recital coming up in the fall in the state of Washington. I am also a veteran of the Afghanistan war, deployed in 2010. Part of my recital is representative of my time in Afghanistan and this arrangement of Danny Boy absolutely fits the mold of what I am trying to express in my performance. I was curious to find out if we receive the arrangement through the Indiegogo page, could I perform this on my Recital for my major? If you would like to talk through email instead of on the comment section, feel free to email me at josh.johnson6648@gmail.com. Thank you for this beautiful rendition!

I only came across you singing this on facebook the other day. I thought this was done ever so beautifully. It is so calming. If you get time, I was wondering if you could give any advice on singing in general. I am 18 years of age and sing tenor. I understand its difficult without hearing but I would be grateful if you had anything that would help in general. Again I know its hard to be specific but any advice helps.
