When he sings, it goes all the way through you. Chills, really feeling his mood and strength of the song. ❤

This is just beautiful. This was sung live on a BBC Radio 2 broadcast in London on 22 November 2013 on the anniversary of the assassination of President John F Kennedy. It was a fascinating 3 hour programme recounting the events minute by minute. The piper playing on this is the same man who played Danny Boy on the bagpipes at Kennedy's funeral. Alfie Boe is such an amazing singer, if anything when he sings live it is even better than his recordings, and this is so incredibly moving. .

The man who plays the bagpipes is my great granda who passed three years ago, playing the bagpipes were one of his passions and ever since i can remember i got told stories of how he toured with the black watch and played at jfk's funeral.

Thank you so much for uploading this! A beautiful and moving rendition of Danny Boy sung as only Alfie Boe can sing it ... with so much emotion and feeling ... a very moving part of a fascinating programme from BBC Radio 2.

His a cappella version is much better. His voice alone is all that’s needed for this song.

D'aussi belles chansons ne se trouvent pas facilement. Exiserait-il une version italienne ? Merci si quelqu'un peut me le dire.
